Deep garnet, high intensity. Fully developed, and so fresh for an 18 year old wine. Medium(+) intensity nose. Dark fruit, a touch of mint, rubber, smoke. On the palate a tiny sweetness, medium(+) acidity and tannin, the latter soft and grainy. Full bodied. 14%. Flavours as nose with the dark fruit accentuated. Hints of the black currant. Very good length with dark fruit and slone. Starts soft and generous, then tightens up. Smooth in texture. Intensity in flavours. Easy to like.

I am not totally sure But as long that I can remeber This wine was voted or gloried as the best wine in SA this vintage By Platter at least Now that was some time ago I have had 3 of these before Today this is a fully matured Cabernet wine With lots of fruit there But also secondary and tertiery notes The hard roasted oak makes it clear that this is a little bit too good to be true To be the real Stuff Meaning Left side in Bordeaux So we set the direction pretty quick to SA And this i a Blindtested wine Well You cant cry drinking this complex wine Knowing that you picked it out and nailed it in a contest with other competitors

Surprisingly vital with full flavor. Close to it’s peak, but will stay there for some time. Lots of dark fruit with dry, tannins and long finnish. Congrats to those who have some bottles left

Sadly my last bottle. Again a great performance. Casis, some sweetness, nice acidity and oak. Very nice developed CS. Wish I had more and follow its evolution.

P&P. Tertiair aromas, nice glycerin. Casis, leather. Nice drinking old Cabernet. Drink now.
