Get it blindly. I guessed bx 95 or 96 1er or 2eme cru. Fresh, lively, still a lot black currants, a touch cedar, leather and mints. Balanced, alcohol perfectly integrated. Double decanted 6 hours before. At least 10-15 years ahead. 94-95

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #044; Bordeaux 1999 (By me): Still a beautiful and vital dark carmine color. Some cherries, oak and plum in the bouquet. Quite developed in the taste with some plum, cherry and pepper, but also hints of tobacco and metal. A bit short in the finish. Completely ready now.

This is a good wine. Especially in the nose it is exiting. Wood and fruit; mostly blackberry. However in the taste the wine is a little too easy. Supple, but not too interesting. It has some good bitters in the aftertaste, but a little too much acidity for me. But overall an ok wine. Maybe wait for a few more years. The acidity will not disappear, but possibly integrates better in the wine as a whole.

Nice red colour although there was a little sediment, forgot to put the bottle straight up in time. Fantastic nose with stable en dark red fruit, cassis, black currant, cedar. Nice sour, beautiful sweet, cassis, beautiful wood probably French oak, strong but nice tannines, medium-long aftertaste. The wine still had enough power (sour en tannines) to keep it in the cellar for a few years.
