  • Drinking really well right now.
    Not decanted.
I plan to drink the last bottle within a year.
Strong spicy and earthy character with the fruit in the background by now.
Very harmonious balance, good length and excellent typicity.
A great value as I recall

  • Sadly the last bottle of the case. Slow oxed for about 3 hoursbefore brining it to dinner. It was absolutely singing tonight. Explosive nose of roses, cherries, violets, tar and maybe graphite. Extremely dark for a 21 year old wine, with just a slight bit of bricking at the edges. Nose was just so beautiful we had to keep smelling it. even my wife who rarly drinks couldnt stop sniffing and asked for a glass. In the mouth it was pure silk and had a lot more weight than I expected. The fruit was still there and much more rich that I expected. There was a delicious sweetness to the wine. All enjoyed it. Great bottle best of the case.

  • Still drinking beautifully if well kept. Decanted and saw improvement for two hours +. Significant tannin structure still holding everything together nicely. Great value. Drink over next 3-5 years

  • 7th bottle out of case bought at release. Pulled the cork about two hours before drinking but did not decant as recommended by last tasting note. Provenance is everything. The cork is just in great shape. The wine is just where you expect a 19 year old Nebbiolo to be. Bricked out and a lovely nose of light tar reserves flowers and fruit. Totally mature and in a as good spot as it will get. Not a profound or earth shattering wine but very lovely to accompany a black and blue T-bone. The wine wont get any better so I plan to drink the balance in the next 2 years. 91 pts

  • This wine continues to drink beautifully as it has over the last 4 years. Certainly the age of the wine is noticeable, but it is still holding together beautifully without noticeable oxidation. I would not decant this but let it gently open up in the glass. Great typicity with the slightly brick color expected for aged Nebbiolo, very rich nose , excellent length and long finish
