Color: Dark red, not too intense Nose: cautious, some red fruits, some slight animalic notes Palate: medium acidity, medium tanins, not too intense, medium+ finish
Good QPR

I had this with Vina Marro Vendimmia Seleccionada Rioja Tinto DOCa
- fresh looking dark red, clear colour, not a lot of fine particles - Rather fruitful nose, dark cherries, a bit Burgundian (sorry for such a damn generalization) - Still some tannins, very dense for this price range (approx. 7 Euros), no oak influence (4-6 months in stainless and cement), fruitful (dark cherries), very lively and gentle acid, a bit smoke, a bit herbs (thyme?) – very nice example of a gentle, not too simple Tempranillo (+ a bit Graciano and Granacha). Against most opinions: nice Tempranillo based wines do not really need oak. Great QPR!
No winner. Very beautiful and reasonable Riojas, however their style is very different!

Vegemite and olives. Not surprisingly went better with food than without.

violet reflexes. nose: blackberries; generally pure ripe fruit. taste: quite elegant; thin structure; delicate cocoa - opaque but mild. Interesting Rioja - not mainstream taste.

Nice deep color. very smooth minimal tannin so probably will not get better but drinking fine now. Medium bodied.
