Wine Education Service - Rioja - Gran Reserva (LSE): Just translucent, orange rim, (quite heavy sediment). Little fruit on the nose, vanilla from the oak. fruity and smooth taste, lovely balance, mature, soft mid palate, good length.

A good bottle with clear GR character, lots of coffee on the nose and a nice ravel and red fruits flavour. Mid weight but good substance and length. Benefited from a 3 hour decant.

3/4 soaked cork. Wine poured light with a tawny tinge throughout. Nose recognisably rioja. Dusty, oak. herb, tea leaves, rose, violets. Medium strength nose, worth lingering on. Mouthfeel: thin entry, sweet, then smooth but medium dry tannins and a firm acidity. Then the mid filled out to provide many of the above flavours. This really is good. Fruit still quite obvious and actually this feels just at the begining of its mature stage. Really good and lasted well into day 2. I love the good ones from this parcel.

Munskänkarna styrelseavslutning 2016 (Hemma hos Jan Nordlöf, Tyresö): Tegelröd färg. Lite blyg doft, söt och kryddig med en del körsbär. Mjuk, syrlig smak av tranbär och vinbär.
