  At first there’s a little meat, some decaying roses and sweet black earth on the nose. It doesn’t take long before the wine brightens and it is all crunchy cherry and cranberry. It still has terrific, minerally acidity and is detailed and rocky. It may lack just a little mid palate pud but is ethereal and engaging with beautiful perfumed nuance. It may be counter-intuitive to some folk but this wine is just entering its drinking window and well stored bottles should drink well for several decades.
