Light ruby color with a brick / clear rim. Super nose that contains red cherry and earth. Maybe some mushroom. Elegant wine - almost impossiblely so for a 2003. Light and delicate with nice flavor penetration. Pure and fine. I wouldn’t guess the vintage with 10 guesses. Truchot makes lovely wines that a 100% the style I prefer. Not the most complex but delicious. (91)

stunning wine and fairly classic Truchot. light color, bright fruit, fairly intense on the palate with medium-course tannins that need some more age. As it aired out, the color darkened a bit, the fruit got fresher and more crunchy in typical Chambolle fashion. Fruit is barely 50% mature at this point, seems a bit younger than 2003 - though there's some orange zest and bright cocoa on the nose. Zero roasted flavors and more than sufficient structure - seems like a success in 2003 for Truchot. Lovely wine and really looking forward to following over the next decade.

just delicious. sweet red cherries, lithe texture, no notes of roasted fruits. may be lacking a bit of acidity and snap, but this is so wonderful to drink now, why quibble?

Vintage showed through more here than in other ripe vintage Truchot. Perhaps not a perfect bottle.

Ripe and red, and while without much depth, I found the simple palate to be rewarding.
