  Popped and poured, but wish I had decanted. Nose was muted out of the gate but evolved into a nice herbal, earthy expression after an hour or so. Was tight at the start, and didn't give up much until 90 minutes in. Definitely a restrained style, with enjoyable herbal and tobacco notes, with very light red fruits. Pretty short finish. Still plenty of tannins present, although I don't believe this will get better. I'd drink now with a short decant or hold for a couple years.

  Red berry and slight plummy fruit turn a bit herbal and tobacco-ey with a hind of dry black olive. Nice length and of medium body. Actually, it drinks like it's an older wine than 2000. My opinion is not to hold on at all but to drink now.

  Being an unfiltered wine, I think that it still had time on it beyond the drinkability guidance. I decanted it for 2 hours before drinking. It had a great Napa nose and had plenty of fruit still on the tongue. It was defintely in the drinking window though.
