Had very low expectations. Fully mature, dark ruby color no bricking just slightly translucent edge. I was surprised this held up so well. I obtained this bottle in 2021 for $10 and feels like a steal. Also, my 2,000th bottle consumed (at least those tracked in CT).

Decanted for about an hour. Cork didn’t survive opening. Very little sediment. Still good acidity though so plenty of life left. Tannins well integrated. Still plenty of fruit. Glad I finally opened this bottle.

Still has fruit, acid, little to no bricking. Almost no sediment. Decanted for 30-45 then consumed over 2 hours. Great bottle.

Picked this up at a retail outlet today. Decanted for about 2 hours before dinner. Ripe, but medium bodied. Tannins have integrated nicely. Would purchase again.

Had a little bit of a green pepper quality paired with great fruit, thought tannins were moderate but eased up over course of the bottle. Brought to a restaurant and 30 minute decant before consuming over next 90 minutes. Would have given it more time.

Was worried this may be getting a little bit past the drinking window, but still lively and delicious. Need to acquire this more consistently.

pours a glass-staining purple with an powerful nose of blueberry, blackberry, black cherry and spicy wood. Tasting shows ripe, concentrated flavors of black and red fruits, chocolate covered espresso beans, smoky bacon and a gorgeous rush of vanilla.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Gave it 2.5 hours in decanter and essentially no sediment out of bottle. Blackberry and cassis, tannins mellowing, medium acidity. Like many 2014, in a good spot now and would generally drink before 2013s.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon, from a 40 acre block lying at 1200 feet, overlooking Alexander Valley. 14.8%

Really settling in. 13% abv, and rounded with stone fruit and a saline streak. A very enjoyable wine. Kudos Gavin.

Decanted for 2.5 hours, moderate sediment in the bottle. Either needs a much longer decant or just more time. Think I would revisit for a 6 hour decant. Huge wine, dark staining inky purple. Has potential to improve.

The entire bottle was coated with sediment - filtered during decant. Didn't open up as much as I expected over 2.5 hrs. Had a bit of pyrazine/green pepper to it that I normally don't expect in PS. Have one more bottle - guess I'll sit on it for another 1-2 years and revisit but don't have high hopes.

Lots of sediment in bottle removed through filter for decant. 3hrs air before enjoying. A big wine for sure, black and blue fruits, dark and inky; tannins have integrated quite a bit through decant. Will drink remaining bottles over the next 3 to 5 years max.

Decanted for sediment and gave it 30 minutes before drinking. Still somewhat youthful overall, slightly bricking at edges and good acidic streak. Classic cherry, menthol, and spice.

Decanted for about 3.5hrs, drank over 2hrs. Some sediment in bottle. Rutherford fruit with the majority coming from a special portion of Beckstoffer GIII. Dark berries, cassis - wine is very approachable at this age with long decant - tannins were in check. Mike Smith is the winemaker so it has that unique mid palate velvety mouthfeel. Enjoyable wine and can certainly go longer. Will check on last bottle in probably about 5 years.

Decanted for about 90 minutes. No sediment. So dark - purple that can stain anything, tannins pretty integrated and still plenty of acid. Paired with a Flannery beef hanger steak. Plenty of life ahead but perfectly enjoyable now.

From magnum, 3 hour decant, served with pizza. Plenty of cherry fruit left, tannins mellowed, and right amount of acidity to pair with dinner. In a great drinking window for my preference.

Bottle was from pristine storage, cork was immaculate and came out with ease. Fully mature, decanted as I assumed there would be lots of sediment but after standing up for 2 weeks it was very clean.

Needs either a much longer decant (only did one hr and drank over next two) or listen to the drinking window and wait 2 more years.
