Pop and pour - drinking very well and will hold for a while I think. Traditional style of earth and fruit. Love this single vineyard BdM.

Drinking nicely - traditional style so fruit is below the earthy - leather tastes.
White - Off-dry

Absolutely lovely, wish I had cellared more of these! Golden color, round mouth feel, nice combination of acidity and fruit.

Lots of sediment, it went very nicely with the grilled meats but it is leaner, not as full bodied as other Napa cabs. Maybe more time?

caveat: I am on the end of a cold/influenza but I got a huge nose and taste profile of bubblegum/cotton candy. With grilled steak it was enjoyable, on it's own not so much. Curious to see how it holds up vacuvinned.

Seemed pretty tannic, popped and poured. Fruit was there and it went well with a pasta/red sauce dish. Not just for sipping at this point.

Earthy, loam and typical of what we think of as Bordeaux. Paired with lamb chops it was fine but didn't knock our socks off.

Wish we had given this more air time - pop and pour, initially very bright fruit with a short, clipped finish. The next day (vacuvinned) it was wonderful, heavier, dark fruit, finished.

Drinking very nicely. Pop and pour. Not a complicated Bordeaux, but lovely for the price point, particularly since it was kept in the cellar for awhile.

Opened for Christmas Eve and wonderful with the salami/meat antipasti. Classic aged Brunello - dusty, leathery with dried fruit. If you don't have the correct food to serve with Italian wines open something else. Experience has shown us that the menu must distinctly be planned around the wine.

Yet another occasion where pop and pour was not favorable. Gotta give these wines more time in the cellar, or more time in the decanter. Otherwise you are just getting a hint of what they will become.

I agree with Jochems - this wine needed some air time. 13 years and it still isn't ready for pop and pour!! Love Barbi wines and I will sit on my other vintages longer.
