App:Lime green. Petillance(no shit!). Nose:Clean with med intensity. Developing. Palate:Incredible creamy mousse. Beautiful subtlety and elegance.Excellent balance. Beguiling. Long. Absolutely top class. Conc:I'm no champagne expert but in terms of quality this is the best wine I've ever tasted. Outstanding. Will cellar happily for a decade I suspect, if you have the money and patience!!

Consumed over two days. Day1-App:Very dark but slightly ruby/garnet rim. Nose:Oaky. Quite chunky. Crushed black fruits. Palate:Oaky and quite tannic. Fruit struggling against the oak. NEEDS TIME. Day2-App:Noticeable garnet rim. Nose:Less oaky - sweet fruit dominates - redcurrant and blackberries. Medicinal and herby notes. Palate:Rich. Deep black fruit and olives. Herby undertones. Good length. Excellent. Conc:Improved hugely after 24hrs in decanter. NEEDS TIME. Drink 2013 onwards or decant.

App:Clear with med colour intensity - lemon/gold. Nose:Clean with med intensity, developing, toffee apple notes, very fresh, spice and nicely integrated oak. Palate:Dry. Very complex. Good balance - med acidity/alc/body. Med+ flav intensity. Quite long with green fruits prominent, citrus hints and caramel beginning to come through. The wine evolved beautifully in the glass - banana and pineapple notes emerging on both nose and palate. Conc:Superb! High priced for basic Bourgogne and quite rare but worth seeking out and enjoying until 2013. Very complex and interesting. Amazing quality for village level wine.

App:Clear.Med intensity of colour. Quite light (typical of the vintage). Tawny core, fading at the rim. Nose:Clean. Med+ intensity. Classic Pauillac! Developing. Fruit - sweet redcurrant with nicely balanced oak/spice/herb notes. Palate:Dry. Med acidity/tannin/alc. Med body/flav int. Fruit - restrained red fruits particularly redcurrant. Herb notes. Med+ length. Excellent balance. Conc:Very good quality but stupidly expensive on today's market. I bought this when the price was affordable four years ago or so. Excellent wine but not worth it's current price.

This is amazing quality for the price. I paid £9.40 for this and it's up there with many a village Puligny or Chassagne in terms of quality. Very good depth of flavour and length. Wonderful honeyed notes and freshness. A really delicious wine of incredible quality for the price. An excellent example of how good the 09s are. This is a must for white burgundy lovers.

App:Clear with med- intensity. Lemon green colour - very slight golden hint. Nose:Clean with med intensity. Developing. Quite round and spicey with toffee/butterscotch notes and limey citrus notes also. Palate:Dry with med acidity. Med- body, Med flav intensity with appley fruit and hints of lychee and melon. Very dry finish, med length. Conc:Good village Puligny but lacking the depth and toffee notes that these vineyards can do so well. Fresh and attractive but the nose promises more than the palate delivers. Enjoyable nontheless.

To my shame I didn't take proper tasting notes of this wine. It was a truly exceptional Riesling that's drinking beautifully now. Excellent balance, depth of flavour and length. 05 was a fantastic vin
tage in Alsace and it shows in this wine. This is a Grand Cru worthy of it's title. Superb!!

This was a very enjoyable bottle. Classic Haut-Medoc, light/medium bodied wine with medium intensity. Lovely balance, good acidity and lightish on the oak. Wonderful red berrys with subtle undertones of black fruit. Average length. It was perfect on it's own. Highly recomend this wine, but don't expect a blockbuster.

App : Clear with med+ intensity. Almost purple with strong ruby tinge throughout. Obvious maturity signs. Nose : Clean. Med+ Intensity. Developing. Sweet red fruits - redcurrant/cherry. Nicely integrated spicey oak. Palate : Dry. Med acidity/tannin. Med+ body/flavour intensity. Interesting mature notes of meats - salami aswell as intense and brooding red turning to black fruits. Interesting sour notes. Quite long. Conc : When I drank this wine 2 years ago it wasn't a patch on this. Evolving beautifully. Very expensive wine and beginning to show why now. Clearly a wine that must be cellared and drunk old/mature. Still plenty of time left to enjoy this superb wine. A joy to drink but would be even better with a plate full of quality Italian meats, breads and cheeses.

Red fruits underpinned by rich dark fruits that will emerge further with time. Conc : Superb. Very good example of the accessible and approachable fruit forward nature of the 04 vintage. Lovely now but will evolve and improve I'm sure.

App ; Watery rim, ruby core, legs. Nose ; Clean med- across the board. Sweet red fruit - damson and redcurrant emerged with time in glass. Palate ; Again Med- across the board including flavour intensity.Quit light. Disappointing. Conclusion ; This wine improved hugely in decanter over a few hours suggesting that it is no way near ready unless decanted for a few hours. It will definitely improve. Leave alone in the cellar for a year or two would be my advice.

It's a shame that the cork disintegrated because the wine itself was surprisingly good considering. Medium aroma intensity. Notes of spicey oak and red fruit. Palate is a refreshing well balanced quaffer. Medium acidity and tannin. Would make a good food wine but enjoyable on it's own. Had to mark it down because of the cork but would've scored higher. 85.

Decanted. Clear. Apple green. Not as dark as expected for mature village burgundy. Clean nose. Fully developed. Oak to the fore but backed up by good appley fruit. Hints of toffe and spice. The palate is long with well balnced fruit with integrated oak. The acidity is medium- which offers a slightly unbalanced nature if you want to be critical but still a classy wine. This wine is fully developed. Drink up by next year for a lovely wine experience.
