Opened an hour before consumption and it's drinking very well. Smooth and perfect companion for a nice steak. I think it will age a few more years, but can be enjoyed right now.

I had to try a bottle. I decanted it for 4 hours. The wine was strong and tight on the first day, but showed lots of potential. I put the wine back in the bottle and refrigerated overnight. I opened the bottle for 5 hours the next day and enjoyed the wine with veal and pasta. The wine was smooth and delicious with a long finish. I'll cellar the other bottle for a few years. Another great wine from Manfred.

Amazingly very approachable right now. I opened and decanted for one hour and the wine was drinking very well. It's hard to age this wine when it is drinking so well in its youth. Delicious!

I put some back in the bottle and corked it. I tried it again 48 hours later and the wine was so silky and smooth and tasted like different wine with everything in sync. SQN wines are big and often get better once they have been opened for a day or two.

I know you're thinking I'm just giving it 100 because it's a wine from Manfred and those of us who spend crazy amounts of money on his wines think every wine he makes should be rated 100 points to justify their price.

Nuestra Senora del Tercer Gemelo is his newest wine and I felt I needed to try a bottle now and let the others rest for a few years. I expected this young wine to need a few hours in the decanter before being approachable. I almost left it in the decanter over night to try the next day. However, I tried a glass and it was fresh, delicious and very approachable; I couldn't stop drinking it. Such a great surprise. I had to force myself to leave 1/2 bottle for the next day. It wasn't as good the next day because I think I decanted it for too long the first day.

I expect this wine to shut down soon; I'll lay the rest down and revisit again in 5 years.

Great upon opening, but young. Decanted for 7 hours and the wine was near perfect. Easy to drink, great flavor and on the lighter side which made it go perfect with truffle pizza. Will did a great job with this vintage.

I opened the bottle on Saturday morning and it was tight and young upon opening. I decanted it for 6 hours, put it back in the bottle and refrigerated it for 3 days. I aired it for 3 hours prior to drinking over dinner with pork ribs. The wine was so much better than when I first opened it. It was smooth and soooo good and easy to drink. It went great with my meal. I'll wait another 3 years before opening another bottle, but what a beauty.

My first NOK wine and it was very good. I decanted it for 12 hours and the wine became very approachable and went very well with steak. A delicious wine that should only get better with age. The nose was not there, but in all, the wine was great. I have no other NOK to compare this to, but I think the wine may be asleep now and need a few more years to "wake up" to its true potential.

I opened the wine and it tasted good. After 12 hours of decanting, the wine opened up and it tasted amazing. The nose of berry and the flavors are great. I will wait a couple more years to see where it goes with a bit more age, but for those of you who want to try it right now, the wine is accessible after some decanting. I tasted it next to NOK #5 and I gotta say that, today, Andremily was more approachable.

This could be the best Anne Gros Clos Vougeot I have had to date. The 2007 was great, but this one had aged to it. It took a couple of hours to open up, but after that it was just drinking great. Dark cherry, just an over all great wine. I believe the wine is in a good drinking window and I'm not sure it will get any better.

Alban, Saxum, Epoch, Law Estate are my favorite Syrah from California. I've only had SQNs twice before so I cannot compare this wine to SQN, but I have high expectations which is why I opened a bottle today, and will lay down the others for a few years. The little I know about Jim Binns through exchange of e-mails tells me he is a great guy and deserves the reviews this wine is getting. I have a feeling this will not be the only 100 point rating the wine will get. Everyone so far has done a great job describing it. I drunk it over 8 hours and it really opened up after about 4 hours. The nose stayed consistently amazing all along. There was no heat and you can't tell it's 15.5% alcohol. This is young and will need a few years to enter its drinking window. I love what I am tasting so far and I can't wait until I get to try another bottle in about 5 years. Amazing!

I opened this bottle a couple of days after I received my shipment from RM. It's consistent with prior years, just an amazing bottle of wine and a great value. It was a bit tight at the beginning, but opened up as the day went on. I think this wine will be at its best in a year or two.

I agree with one comment made about this wine smelling like wet dog when you first open it. It doesn't even taste very good. BUT give it 24 hours and it becomes a great wine. If you don't like it when you first open it, give it some time, you will be rewarded.

I believe this wine is drinking perfectly right now. It is my experience now with KB wines that they are at their best 6 to 7 years from Vintage...it is a while to wait, but well worth it.

I may be in the minority here, but this wine still has many years left in it. I decanted and consumed over a 24 hour period and I think it was at its best 20 hours into decanting. A beautiful wine and typical saxum.

My first KB Kanzler and it was very tight and young from the start, as expected. It opened up the next day. I'll give my other 2 bottles 3 to 5 years in the cellar as I believe this wine will only get better with time.
