Drinking elegantly. Shimmering currant with tobacco and leather notes. Funk burned off very quickly. Light for Margaux but more refined fruit as breathed.

Starts out slow and flat but opens after 45 minute decant with subtle raspberry cola and hints of perfumey flower. But never quite gets established. Doubt it has more to offer from aging or longer decant.

2 hour decant. Tannins full at outset. Bit of must on opening but gone quickly. Tannins mellowed by one hour. At 2 hours ready, Robust dark fruit with tobacco, leather, some fern. Thins out a bit over the mouthful but elegant long finish.

Slow to open up. At firs raisin and tannins dominate but after 40 minutes of decant floral licorice and red fruit comes out. Still kind of thin. Reacts well to food; tomatoes and peppers sauce.

Exceptionally round but integrated mouthof currant blackberry, cinnamon, herbs, licorice. Have been drinking this wine for the past decade and this vintage for past 5 years-always rewarding. Has a nice old world profile with new world approachability and at this price point a great value.

This vintage is singing.

Very elegant, light for gevrey-chambertin. Certainly in its prime spot maybe starting toward end of tgat. Perfumed cherry and brambles on first taste then going to mocha and deeper dark berry-blackberry like. After 90 minute decant mocha becomes prominent showing coff and chocolate distinctly but in harmony.
