We struggled with the cork a bit, but the wine itself was pristine. I was a bit surprised by the drinking window, but must agree that there is still at least another good 10 years to that wine. Wonderful moment!

Dark color with a little bit of yellow/orange on the rim. Great nose for a over 20 years old wine. On the palate, medium bodied with taste of cacao, wood and sun-dried tomatoes. Medium finish with softened tannins.

It's probably a little bit past his peak, but it's still a great wine!

Face to face with a Pinot Noir from Oregon. Still a very mute wine, will need to be tried again in a few years. Still promising.

Popped and poured. Already very open and drinkable.

Tasted at the same time as another Bordelais type of wine (from Stellenbosch). This offers a complex mix of fruits and minerality. Medium to long finish. High level of acidity that I attribute to the higher Merlot part.

I believe this wine will drink wonderfully for 5-10 years although it is surprisingly good as of today.

Franchement excellent!

The cork was in an ok shape for a 15 years old wine. No need for decanting, this can be easily popped and poured.

Nose: Very very light, almost mute.

Palate: Very mineral taste with hints of spices and cherries. Acidity was higher than expected on that one.

You would almost feel this is an old Burgundy wine. This is also what the color reminds you of.

Drink now before it's too late. 91 rating, but was probably higher a few years ago.

Still young, but drinks very well with proper aeration. Make sure to open at least 2 hours in advance.

Opened three hours in advance.

Medium bodied with hints of chocolate and leather. Not as oaky as I was expecting.

Very good and ready to be drank with proper aeration.

Drank over a little more than 24 hours.

Color: Greenish yellow.

Nose: Lots of fruits and minerality. The nose toned down a bit after the first day.

Palate: Full bodied, lot of acidity. Long finish.

Still would need to be aged for a few more years I suppose.

Was opened about an hour before tasting, but I don't believe it's required.

Moderate nose, was probably more intense a few years ago. It still shows a surprisingly large amount of oak on the nose for a 17 years old Rioja. The wine is still dark in color.

Dark cherries and tobacco on the palate. This is nicely balanced with still enough tannins although it is a bit short on the finish.

Interesting wine. Needs at least 30-45 minutes to open up. Will probably improve over the next 3-4 years.

Nice acidity, great tannins. You get a nice spicy taste (merken) with hints of menthol. Can only improve.

Decanted for two hours, drank over 90 minutes.

Very modern C9P. Very oaky, hints of dark fruits on the palate. Alcohol slightly out of balance.

Give at least 2-3 more years...

Would rate higher if it wasn't a Beaujolais! This is as best as it gets. 89+, will probably rank over 90 in a year or two.

Nose: Still a bit closed.

Palate: Beautiful small fruits; strawberries, cherries, etc. Very good on the palate. Just enough acidity to be a great summer wine, but not too much. Clearly ready to be drank right away, but can still age for a while. I will definitely wait next summer for the remaining bottle.

Opened about 30 minutes before drinking. Drank over 2 hours.

I always feel like i should open the bottle a few hours before drinking since it definitely improves through time. Big presence of small fruits both on the nose and palate. Medium finish. Medium acidity. A very good summer wine for the 40+ weather we had that day...

Fairly good. Opened about 3 hours before tasting and tasted over 2 hours. Still a lot of oak. Very powerful nose. Oak and menthol on the palate. Medium finish.

I would wait a few more years before opening the other 3 bottles...

Unremarkable wine. It gives me the impression that it still has a lot of potential and would better be forgotten for a few years in the cellar.

Nose: Dominated by alcohol even on second day. You get some notes of dark fruits and earth. Medium intensity.

Palate: Also dominated by alcohol (14.5 % and you taste it!). The finish is long and you can also taste the dark fruits.

I would definitely wait a few years, it can only improve...

Decanted for two hours prior to drinking. Drank over 3 hours.

Very mute at first, it slowly opened to offer a fairly good Cabernet Sauvignon dominated Bordeaux wine.

Nose: Light red fruits, hints of wood.

Palate: Cassis, light red fruits, very little wood.

I would highly recommend to hold 2 more years before drinking, it clearly gives the impression of a wine that has more potential than it showed.

Decanted for 2 hours, it clearly needs that.

Not as impressive as the 2008, but a good and balanced Shiraz.

Nice nose (lot of cherries!!!), medium to heavy palate, very long finish. Will give the other bottles 1-2 more year at least.

Good nose. Great taste of dark fruits, cherries and spice. Better than the first bottle, seems to still have a few good years ahead.

Decante at least 30 minutes.

Needs major decanting (2 hours +) if you want to drink it right now. The other bottles will definitely sit at least 24-36 more months, but has a lot of potential for aging.

Good character, good nose and good legs. You can taste the cherry and plume with a very nice finish.
