Damn! Firing on all cylinders tonight. Paired with strip steak, ribeye and Brussels sprouts with onions. Drank like a mature Bordeaux. Have 3 more from this vintage. Can’t expect they will get any better, but no hurry.

My second of 3. This was good, but not great. Still holding together well, but the flavor of dark plum is a bit overpowering. Almost a stewed fruit flavor. Hopefully, just bottle inconsistency. One more left.

Impressive. This is solid for a $30 Bordeaux. In a great place right now. I don’t find it syrupy or jammy at all. Solid tannins, forest floor, dark fruits and cassis (maybe a touch heavy on the cassis). Very satisfied for the price.

Outstanding! Agree with total Burgundian nose! Well balanced, bright red fruit, earth and a little funk. Long finish. Will improve with age. Going back for more!

Drank with Bob and Michelle while watching the Bills game. Drinking very well right now. Did not take formal notes but well developed and balanced. Will certainly improve with age but ready to enjoy now.

Drank with friends at Provence in Providenciales. Outstanding wine with firm tannins and moderate fruit. The meal was top 3 all time as well. Plenty left in this but at or just past peak.

This is really in a great place right now. Drank over several hours with seared duck breast and mushroom risotto. Earthy with bright red fruits and cooking spices. A medium to full and satisfying mouth feel. Polished tannins and a wonderful finish. Can’t wait to see where it ends up tomorrow. No hurry but hard to believe it will get much better.

Still on the young side. Tight. Lots of acidity. Bright red and dark fruits with some vegetal notes. Try back in a year.

Drank at Rosalie’s in Skaneateles for Kelly’s 47th birthday. No detailed notes but this bottle was as close to a perfect example of Opus as I have ever had. Enjoyed over 4 hours and it never fell off. Sad to only have on ‘07 remaining

Been trying to convince myself this will get better with time. Not one bit. Really don’t understand the attraction here. Throwing my last 2 bottles away.

Still a bit young with hard edges. Needs a couple hours but then really shows some good stuff. Another year or two and I expect this to improve to 93-94.

Decent wine, but nothing special. Seems to have a touch too much heat and a bit of a bite to it. Balance is off. Maybe needs a bit more time to settle and come together.

Medium golden yellow. Aromas of petrol and citrus. Flavors of honey, lime and other citrus fruits, and a touch of apricot. Medium bodied and well balanced with a silky mouth coating texture. No hurry as this should continue to drink well for a couple years. Impressive wine.

Just as good as the last one. Picked up some tar and licorice aromas this time in addition to prior notes. At peak and drinking very well.

Very well balanced with good structure and mouthfeel. Bright acidity and moderate minerality nose and taste of lemon curd and grapefruit, but too sour by any means. Will be enjoyable for a few more years with ease.

Very expressive and floral nose. Silky smooth medium weight mouth feel. Pear, lemon curd, a hint of oak and apple. Nice minerality and a hint of salinity. Overall, a very well made wine which is drinking great now and should continue to please and likely improve over time.

Agree with Liber - this is really good but beyond its prime so no upside in waiting. Medium to full body. Tannins are resolved but still good structure. Dark fruit, leather, tobacco, spices and green pepper. Very enjoyable with A5 Wagyu and brussel sprouts for mine and Kelly’s 11th anniversary!

A year later and this wine is singing! Dark stewed plums and cherries with moist earth and barnyard notes combined with leather, tobacco and spices. As old world as it gets. Great acidity and balance, yet on the mature side. Suits me very well and stood up for several hours. Probably at peak, but no hurry to drink.

Semi translucent as expected of a mature wine. Subdued fruit with a pleasant amount of spice and leather. Tannins still in place but we’ll resolved. Delicate but still powerful and in great balance. Probably at or just beyond its peak, but no hurry to drink. I have one more to look forward to..
