Golden colour. Almonds, marzipan and a touch of citrus on nose. Rounded mouthfeel with flavours of citrus, marmalade with a long finish. Very interesting and enjoyable.
Red
Clear, right red colour - no sediment. Strawberry, a hint of smokiness and a slight rubbery note on nose. Smooth, round mouthfeel. Flavours of strawberry, cherry, spice and vanilla. A little hint of rubber. Smooth tannins with a long finish and good bite. Opened nicely over an hour.

Dark red colour with slight brown edge. Tar, dark cherry nose along with a bit of cranberry. Fresh, bright taste. Cherry and cranberry flavours. Acidic bite at end but fresh and enjoyable with tertiary notes coming through. Still a couple of years left.

Clear red colour. Cranberry and cherry on nose. Clean flavour - primary flavours - cranberry, cherry with a slight touch of sweet musk on the end. Good acid bite with tannin and a medium length finish. Still feels quite young just about to enter into mid-life.

Deep, dense inky red colour. Tight nose of strawberry and menthol. Dark red fruit flavours and a bit of leather. Big tannins with a long, chewy finish. Enjoyable but still feels young.

Deep, clear red colour. Raspberry and strawberry on the nose with a bit of cranberry. Strong flavours of cranberry and strawberry - a bit singular. A bit underwhelming - not sure where this is going.

Dark, dense, inky red colour. Dark fruits on the nose - spice and a bit of musk. Liquorice, sarsaparilla, spice and dark fruit flavours along with a touch of bitter dark chocolate. A bit of acid freshness. Long finish. Very enjoyable and drinking well with plenty of life left.

Dark red with a bit of brown. Dark cherry, forest floor and a touch of cola on the nose. Smooth, rounded mouthfeel - a bit of sweet musk, cola and cherry. Nice acid bite. Medium length finish. Drinking well.

2010 Château Belgrave Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Deep, red colour with a bit of a purple edge. Green pepper, dark fruits and a touch of mushroom on nose. Smooth mouthfeel. Still quite tight and primary - dark fruits, tannins with a little bit of oak at the end. Medium to long finish. Nice wine but needs more time. Good potential.

Deep, red colour with slight purple edges. Tight nose - a bit of blackberry and toast. Fresh and fruity - dark fruits and a bit of vanilla and toast. Still very young and not fully integrated - wait another year of so for the next bottle.

Cork broke slightly when opening. Dark, dense, inky red colour with slight brown edges. Menthol, slightly meaty nose with subdued hints of dark fruits. Smooth, rounded mouthfeel. Dark fruit flavours, a bit of liquorice and a little touch of vanilla. Grippy tannins at the end with hints of musk and Hubba-Bubba original bubblegum. Long finish with a bit of acidic brightness. In a very nice drinking spot with plenty of interest but still has a lot of life left in it.

Deep red colour with a touch of brown on the edge. Nose of cranberry - quite tight. Fresh taste of cranberry, cherry and a bit of sarsaparilla at the end. Enjoyable and still a touch primary. Nice wine.

Liquorice and dark fruits on nose. Fresh, rounded mouthfeel. Lovely dark fruit flavours along with liquorice and great length. Still has a nice freshness. Drinking really well - a delicious wine. Still has plenty of life left.

Deep, dark clear red colour. Dark cherry, herb and a slight woody (maybe corky) note on the nose. Similar flavours along with liquorice and a bit of menthol. A touch of corkiness still there but enjoyable. Needed about an hour to open up. Still plenty of life left.
White
Clear, pale yellow colour. Petrol on the nose with a touch of lime. Zesty mouthfeel, lime flavours with a hint of petrol. Still quite young but very enjoyable.

Medium, clear colour. Green pepper, cranberry and a light touch of cedar on the nose. Medium light body - cherry, green pepper and a touch of spice in flavour. A bit of a short finish with a bit of an acid bite. Enjoyable, straightforward claret that is in a good place to drink.

Clear red colour. Strawberry, cranberry and little touch of vanilla. Glaciers cherry, sweet musk, cranberry flavours with a bit of tartness at the end. Still a good amount of fruit with a touch of acid bite. Very enjoyable - in a nice drinking window.

Deep, dark red colour. Fairly tight nose - a touch of cassis and blackcurrant along with a light bit of vanilla. Rounded mouthfeel. Lovely flavour - dark fruits and a creamy mouthfeel with a bit of brightness. Medium length. Drinking very nicely.

Dense, deep red colour. Attractive nose of musk, dark fruits, tobacco and asphalt. Rounded mouthfeel. Flavours of dark fruits along with cola and sarsaparilla. Good acid bite with a fresh, long finish. Very enjoyable and still drinking well.

Deep, dark, inky red colour. Tight nose - a touch of musk and liquorice. Round mouthfeel with a touch of acid. Dark fruits, green pepper, liquorice and a savoury note. Long finish. A little unbalanced and not fully integrated - maybe give another year.

Beautifully clear, red colour - see through. Cherry, strawberry most with a touch of forest floor. Medium / light body - dark cherry and tar along with a bit of earthiness. Enjoyable and quaffable wine.

Dense, dense red colour. Tight, subdued nose - took hmm hour or so to open. Green pepper, pencil and dark fruit nose. Smooth mouthfeel. Similar flavours to the nose along with a touch of aniseed. Medium to long finish. Enjoyable but will probably benefit from more time.

Light straw colour. White peach nose and flavours with a nice roundness and slight oiliness. Medium light body. Enjoyable food wine.

Light straw colour. Lime and lemon zest on nose. Zippy mouthfeel - good acid bite. Citrus flavours with a crisp clean finish. Enjoyable.

Clear, dark red colour. Sweet musk, dark cherry and cedar on nose. Smooth, rounded mouthfeel. Dark fruits, cedar and spice flavours. Medium to long finish with a rounded, creamy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable.

Deep, dark red. Tight nose - dark cherry and a bit of asphalt. Round mouthfeel - dark fruits, sarsaparilla fed a touch of sweet musk. Opened up over 30 minutes. Good acid bite with a medium length finish. Feels in the last burst of youth moving into adolescent. Enjoyable but plenty of time left in this.

Nice chardonnay with nods to the old school style. Apple, melon and a nice touch of toasty oak. Well balanced and enjoyable match to fishcakes.

Dense, inky dark red colour. Tight nose with flavours of spice, tobacco and dark fruits. Dense, rich, velvety and rounded mouthfeel. Aniseed, musk, dark fruits in flavour. Complex and long finish. Full bodied but welll balanced. Big, enjoyable wine with years left ahead of it.

Light golden colour. Nose of lemon zest, white peach and a touch of vanilla. Ripe, rich flavours of pastry, lemon but with a touch of minerality and acid zip. Well balanced and enjoyable.

Deep, dark, inky red colour. Blue fruits on nose with a little vanilla. Rounded mouthfeel. Flavours of musk, cranberry, sarsaparilla along with a bit of vanilla. A bit of drying tannin on the end. Very enjoyable and drinking well.

Light, clear colour. Liquorice, cherry and a bit of fennel on nose. Bright flavours - cherry, a touch of strawberry along with a bit if sweet musk. Light to medium bodied with a nice acid bite. Enjoyable wine.

Clear, medium pale colour. Light nose of fennel and rosemary along with a bit of cherry and tar. Medium body, red fruits with a good acid bite. Long finish with a touch of liquorice. Drinking well.

Still youthful although starting to move into maturity. Shows excellent potential for the next few years.
