Fruit forward with soft tannins. Not as complex as I remembered with the first bottle. Good wine, not great, I will try my last bottle in a few years

Gobs of black fruit, tar, and a little herbal note on the nose. Coats the mouth with juicy fruit with a finish that goes on and on. I was worried it might be past its peak but this wine is delicious. I would say it has at least another 5 plus years of prime drinking.

Secondary flavors are present with a herbal, and tar notes. Still enjoyable but would prefer more primary fruit.

The 2012 Groth reserve was a really nice wine. It had lush dark fruit, cedar, and graphite notes with a slightly spicy finish. This has plenty of life left and should drink well for another 5 years. I wish I had another bottle in my cellar.

Golden yellow color with rich fruit and sweet bread notes. Definitely a big champagne and is still very young. Had this for my 20th anniversary and I have two more in my cellar. Impressive wine...

Opened this last night and decanted for about 45 minutes. It was still pretty closed and tannic. The second night it has opened up more. I'm getting dark fruit, cedar and eucalyptus on the nose. Medium bodied with rich fruit and nice acidity. There is a little pepper or spice on the finish. As usual beaucastel does not disappoint. I will wait a few more years before opening another 2015.

Dark purple in the glass with medium to full legs. The nose has dark fruit on the nose with hints of either eucalyptus or licorice. It's a rich lush wine in the mouth with tons of fruit and nice acidity. It has some tannins but the wine is a joy to drink now and I expect it will be even better in a couple of years.

Opened this bottle to celebrate international grenache day. Wine is very early in its drinking window and presents itself with tightness, dark fruit, and herbal notes on the nose. Medium to full body with soft tannins. Will let this air in the glass and revisit this tasting note in a little while.

30 minutes later...
Starting to open up a little. I will revisit tomorrow to see if there is much of a change.

I'm a new Chablis drinker but enjoying it a lot. On the nose I get steel and tart pears. Its tight but the wine has great minerality. there is one aroma I cant put my finger on. At first its stringent and unexpected but the wine is really enjoyable on the palate. I wish I had more in the cellar. All I can say is.... "Yum... Chablis..."

A great choice to start my vacation with. The 2013 CVR is drinking beautifully right now. BlackBerry and black cherry on the nose with a juicy mouth coating of cassis and hints of vanilla and spicy oak. A delicious wine that really shows the taste profile of their estate Cab for a fraction of the price. Quilceda never disappoints.

Dark color with big syrupy legs. Black and red fruit on the nose. A medium body wine with lots of fruit followed by spice and alcohol on the finish. Something is making my tongue tingle consistently. I will wait at least a year before opening next bottle. Hopefully it will become more integrated with time.

A rose with a little more body and flavor. I enjoyed this wine for what it is, an easy summertime sipper that is not overly complex but enjoyable nonetheless.

I love this wine! I bought a case of the 2014 and this is my last bottle. This wine is still drinking very well. Lots of dark fruit with nice acidity. The finish has a little pepper and spice from the syrah. A great value wine if you like Rhone blends and this should drink well for another 3 years. I recently bought a case of the 2017. Have not popped a cork on them yet....stay tuned.

Medium to full bodied with dark fruits on the nose. It coats the mouth with juicy acidity and flavors of cedar, pepper, and iron. A yummy wine that makes you keep going back to the glass for more. I did not get much tannin and this wine should continue to drink well for another 7 to 10 years.

This is my first tasting of Tablas Creek wines. I am a huge Rhone fan and have been very excited to try their wines. They did not disappoint. the 2014 roussanne is golden yellow with a medium to heavy body. On first sip it briefly reminded me of a sauternes but not as sweet. I think it's the honey notes I'm getting. On the backend there is some wet stone minerality that lingers on the finish, which I really like. I will certainly be looking to try many more wines from Tablas Creek.

Cedar and dark fruit on the nose. A medium bodied wine with nice acidity. I get hints of herbal notes on the end. This wine is drinking well now and should continue to evolve nicely for another 5-8 years.

Day 2- Had a second glass and wine really opened up with lots of black cherry and toasty oak. This was a very enjoyable wine for the price point and I will certainly look for other vintages to try.

Big legs show evidence of the 14.5% alcohol levels but the fruit is plentiful and the wine is well balanced. Black cherry and dark fruit with a slight spicy finish. Good solid cab, but not great.

I have never had a sparking shiraz before so I thought I would try one. I consider Molly Dooker a quality producer and they did not disappoint. They wine was darker than I expected with blackberry pie on the nose. Its yummy but I think I prefer my bubbles lighter and more effervescent. this would be a fun Christmas or valentine's wine for the die hard red wine drinkers but it's not my cup of tea.

Enjoyed this with an Easter dinner that included grilled steak, quinoa, and Asian coleslaw. the wine is drinking beautifully with a medium to heavy body. The first taste gives way to strawberry or other red fruits followed by slight minerality and spice on the finish. This was very good and is definitely not past its prime. I'm glad I have two more bottles.

The 2015 Quilceda Creek CVR is a delicious wine with dark fruits on the nose. The wine is medium bodied with velvety oak and licorice notes. A great wine for those who want to try a Quilceda but not ready to spend the money on their estate cabernet. this wine should drink well for another 5 years.

The wine had a nice nose of dark fruit and cedar. It had a medium to full body with a nice balance of fruit and acidity. The tannins were mostly gone and what was present was soft and lush. The wine was drinking very well and probably could go another 5-7 years.

The CVR is a great wine. It allows you to get a quilceda taste profile for 1/5 the cost. At close to fifty dollars its is not cheap but a really nice drinking cab.

Blackberry and cedar on the nose. In the mouth it is a lush wine that coats the mouth with yummy fruit. The oak is there but not overpowering and for those who like a little vanilla in their Cabs you will enjoy this wine. At this price point I say this is a value wine. It could be double the price and it would not surprise me. I will be looking to add more to my cellar.
