5/18/23, 5:07 AM - Thank you!
1/22/22, 6:17 AM - Yes, I have another bottle. Will open in 8 years. I don't have high hopes for this wine though. For a good young bordeaux, you can tell that it will evolve in 10 years to a better place, but doesn't seem off. This wine just seems off.
8/2/21, 7:36 AM - Thanks! I didn't even realize I was the first. Bought this wine based on prior year reviews.
11/19/21, 9:10 AM - Now wine spectator has ranked this Wine of the Year 2021! Go figure!!
10/9/21, 1:33 AM - Depends on uour taste. If you want smoother, I would go for a longer decant.
9/16/21, 4:24 PM - Great. Please post your TN.
8/16/21, 3:00 AM - Sure.
7/22/21, 4:25 AM - You are welcome.
1/26/21, 4:13 AM - Peak is when the wine is at its best expression of fruit with mellowing tannins. Beyond peak is when the fruit is on the decline.
1/27/21, 2:58 AM - Cool.
2/26/21, 2:56 PM - Nice!
3/1/21, 12:42 PM - True. Of course, the Durand opener helps! :)
4/8/21, 3:21 PM - :)
3/29/21, 4:02 AM - Mouton is first growth.
2/26/21, 2:57 PM - Thanks for the feedback on aging.
12/5/20, 3:06 AM - :)
9/2/20, 7:41 AM - Thanks for the drinking window note. Much appreciated.
8/2/20, 11:43 AM - I agree. The wine was very tannic when we opened it, but then after 45 - 60 minutes it started smoothing out and tasting very well integrated.
7/26/20, 4:59 AM - Thank you for the review. Excellent description. Ordered based on a friend's recommendation and your review. The wine had me at "chalky." :)
7/24/20, 12:24 PM - How long do you suggest we hold this wine for?
7/24/20, 12:49 PM - Thank you!
7/13/20, 6:57 AM - Palmer is from the right bank. Not a Margaux.
5/21/20, 5:19 AM - Hello:Are you scoring the wines on a 100 point scale? Your notes of wines are consistently low 60s and 70s, which in the 100point scale is considered not so good wine. Yet you like this wine.Just curious.
5/22/20, 3:33 AM - Are you saying the 1970s Margaux was a below average wine for you? While it is okay to have your own scale and is praiseworthy, the point system that has been adopted comes from Parker (whether we agree or not). Your rating of 62 suggests this is a very poor wine yet you like this wine. Here is Parker’s rating system explained:https://www.robertparker.com/ratings
6/8/20, 4:26 AM - Good suggestion NewFrenchClaret!
5/21/20, 9:09 AM - Yes, I agree. 2008 wasn't a good year for the left bank, but there are certainly hidden gem in the right bank from 2008.
5/17/20, 11:45 AM - You are welcome. Look forward to your TN when you open your 2015:)
5/1/20, 4:50 AM - :)
4/17/20, 12:59 PM - Hello: You are the only one reviewing this wine, but looks like your rating changed quite a bit within the same month. Just curious why it changed from 91 to 94 and back to 93?
4/17/20, 1:40 PM - Thank you. I ordered a case based on your review :)
4/29/20, 1:58 PM - Thank you! Aded my TN!
