Decanted for 7 hours. No funk at all on the nose. Color deep purple. Still some secondary flavors in the 2002.

QPR not as high as I’d like. Has lots of room for aging.

Probably the only one who doesn’t love this wine. Seems astringent. Maybe way too young?

Wonderful bouquet of black and red fruit. I bit of green fruit as well. This is the beginning of a wonderful stage for the wine.

Spicy. Bitter. Astringent. Won’t be buying this again.

Still has a floral aroma. More licorice and baking spices on the pallette. Probably past it’s peak.

This needs MORE TIME. Very ripe fruit. Still has more green fruit aromas than I expected.

Liked as much as the 2009 Fondeca vintage port we drank along with it. Much better QPR.

Longer note to follow, but this needs more time. Decanted this magnum for 3 hours. Still bold blue/black fruit. I have a 2008 magnum that I would wait another 5 years to open.

I expected more. If this wine were a person, the adjective would be ‘vapid.’

Perhaps past it’s prime, or maybe it never reached its prime. Astringent. Anise with isopropyl alcohol zing to it. Glad I only had one bottle.

The wine is purple. Blackberry, blueberry, fig and lead pencil shavings on the nose. The wine has a very polished texture. First time drinking this wine and I'm a fan.

Still a dark inky purple with red on the rim. Nose of sweet cherries, plums, and more floral that i was expecting. This is my first foray with Inglenook. Not a great bargain, but this is a very good/great wine.

This wine is really viscous. Honestly, feels like you could pour this over pancakes. Reminds me of an overdone zin. Alcohol content is high - 15.5%. Entire mouth coated in fruit, without much balance. Maybe this wine needs a LOT of time. But I'm not convinced.

Full disclosure. I'm a huge B cellars fan. This Cab reminds me of a young Barolo. The tannins are a bit overwhelming. This wine is BOLD. The black fruit and cherry seem overpowering, with little or no subtlety to the wine. Maybe this wine needs 15+ years.

Was this the last of the screw tops from Plumpjack?
Decanted for 2 hours. Still a very dark purple. Wonderful nose of dark fruits and a bit of tobacco and leather. Perfectly balanced on the palette. I have just one bottle left and will be looking for more.

Tabacco, leather, and an overwhelming black pepper taste.

Slight brick around the edge. Full bodied black fruit. Lots of time left to this one.

My first Blankiet. Color with just the faintest hint of brick around the rim. A bit more black fruit than I expected at this age. Glad I have others in my cellar.

Well balanced acidity, tannins, and black fruit. Really enjoyed as a PnP. Will be interesting to see how this ages and the success/durability of this label.

Decanted only about 30 minutes. Fruit on the nose. Just beginning with a bit of brick around the room. Tannins, acidity, and fruit all well balanced. I feel like this has several more years left, but I tend to like my Bordeaux blends at 10 to 12 years.

I had high hopes for Xmas dinner pairing with prime rib. The wine was tired, with a lot of musky funk on the nose. Double decanted for 3 hours. No improvement at all. Little fruit on the palate. Anise (which I don’t like) and baking spices predominate. So disappointed.

Ripe and angular upon opening. More red fruit than black. Better the second night. First experience with this producer.

Oh my. Decanted for 1.5 hrs. Black fruit and tobacco on the nose. Tannins were perfectly balanced. Dare say a 100 point wine.

Not overly jammy. Probably a little early to pop and pour this wine. Liked this much more than the Old Vine zin.

Oh my. All fruit. Almost like syrup. I'm a big fan of zin, but this either needs a lot of time in the bottle or its just not my style.

I’d heard a lot about Enfield wines. This was my first. Red berries. Slightly astringent and thin. Not impressed.

PNP. Remarkably, developing a slight brick rim. Bright cherries. Slight earthiness (NOT Brett). Not typical California PN spiciness which I do not like.

Meh. Tasted three times using Coravin. Tannins a bit angular. Nose of leather, a little tobacco. No black fruits.

Inky purple. Blackberry and plum on the palette. A really wonderful wine after 3 years.
