This wine needs time to open, just PnP doesn't do it justice. It's 100% oak fermented and a blend of the three main grapes. It reads as an old champagne as has oxidative notes, and relatively light mousse (small bubbles). The oak influence is pretty obvious, texturally. Initially seems a little short on the finish, but with air and a little bit of warmth, broadens out and lengthens. Lots of almonds, walnuts brioche, citrus and savory notes. Zero dosage, which doesn't come across, as it has a broad and rich mouth feel. Says unfiltered but fortunately not murky at all, I'd guess riddling/disgorgement gets rid of any remaining lees etc in the bottle. Very much a gastronomique rather than aperetif champagne. Needs thinking about/contemplating.

First disappointing wine from Pangloss. All fruit, no structure. Flabby.

Drinking deliciously ow, in the house lighter style, but layered with brioche, hazelnut notes of age, still citrus coming through, very fine mousse. I wouldn't keep much longer though.

Drinking so nicely now. Lovely integration of the tannins and cab, carries the alcohol effortlessly. Amazingly elegant for such a big wine. Very good indeed. Will easily go 3-5 more years, but delicious right now with an hour and a half of air.

Drinking very nicely now, but is definitely showing some lacquering/sherry oxidative tones. Acidity is still present, nice fruit. In line with the prior comment, I wouldn't keep it more than another year or so as it's edging into old age.

Beginning to fade on the carbonation front. Broad palate, lots of brioche, hazelnut, creaminess from the lees. Dosage feels a little high, but very nice to sit and contemplate. I'd drink up, you may risk flatness if you keep much longer. No disgorge date on the bottle but it's been in my cellar since 2010

From a 750. Holding up well, decent carbonation. Not the most complex, but good acidity and lemon/lime citrus notes, pretty linear and focused. Obviously some nutty characteristics from long aging, but still relatively fresh. Good.

May hold up for a couple years more, but I'd suggest drinking it.
No disgorgement date noted but I've held it since 2010.

Carbonation on the wane, but still delicious. Quite a generous palate, some almond/nutty notes, but also clementine, golden/yellow apple, but bursts of lemon/lime. Deep and flavorful but still light and fresh. Finish is clean as a whistle, the acidity coming through nicely. Tine delicate mousse. Needs 45 minutes in the glass to really open up.

Personally, I wouldn't keep much longer, as it's losing the fizz, but the wine is (more than) sound.
Very nice indeed

Pretty spectacular stuff, though it takes about an hour to truly unfold. Strawberries, rose petal, mushroom, umami, some forest floor, tiny bubbles, pale rose gold color. The finish is broad and almost endless.
Krug ID indicated it was mainly 2006 base, disgorged in 2013 (19eme). Is worth the money, unfortunately - so may have to buy more!

Went with both the smoked salmon and caviar and the quail in mushroom sauce, enough savory edge to go with the quail. Yum

July 2019 disgorgement date. Nowhere near ready, tight, reticent, subdued fruit but fresh, obviously lots of tiny bubbles. Needs time. Revisit in 5 years

Drink up - still holding, but not for much longer, definitely an older champagne now, carrying melon, citrus, becoming more rich and nutty with age. Delicious but don't wait too long.

May have been bottle variation, dull taste, no fruit, unpleasant.

Some nice floral notes on the nose, good acid and tannins, but really short drying finish. Not terribly pleasant.

Reminded me of why I stopped buying his wines - not premox like in the 90s, just a dodgy cork and ruined wine :(

Really nice, but be sure to serve it a little on the warm side for whites, otherwise it tastes closed. Great match with Thai yellow curry,

Boring, overblown fruit bomb. Limited acidity/tanin results in overwhelming black fruit sweetness, teetering on the edge of flabby. Finishes hot (14.9%). If you like Parker cocktail wines, you may enjoy it, everyone else should avoid.

Pretty pleasant, decent palate width, but aging and not in a great way. Drink them if you've got them

Boring, no structure, no cabernet snap to it, I guess due to the hot climate. Just fruit + flab.

96 has to be a typo.

After a 3 hour decant, began to open up, Still big structure, but nicely integrated tannin and great dark fruit character, cracked pepper on the nose. Better on day two. Will easily go another 5 years. Pretty delicious.
The wine looks inky colored. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, garrigue, black pepper and tar. It tastes like mineral, black pepper and garrigue. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Still going OK, decent acidity, showing some traces of oxidation - drink em if you've got 'em.

As in the tasting note below, bottom half inch of cork broke off - was very soft.
