Pop and pour. I must admit, I was surprised how well balanced this bottling showed right out of the gate. No doubt this is a young wine but no reason to not share now amongst family and good friends...

It's been awhile since I had this bottling. Didn't show much of a nose upon opening and after 30 minutes, it then started to pick up a little weight. Too bad I didn't have the patience to wait for it to come around after that. Served over Chicken Katsu Curry over Rice...

Phenomenal. Dark, brooding, almost liqueur-like. Bravo!

Drank better with time. Considerable difference after 5 hour decant. Will sit on next bottles.

Drank well over a span of 3 hours. Palate a bit tired from a round of golf at stonebrae and karaoke and Izzys the night before.

Consumed over a span of 3 nights. On Day 1, I must admit the nose and flavor profile was a bit reserved, although you could tell there was quite a bit of oak in the background. On Day 2, the dark fruit and vanilla was more prominent and overall, the wine started to strut itself. At this point, you'd say 'ok, this isn't bad for a $20 bottle!' Well, one night later, gas'd and recorked and thrown back in the fridge, this thing emerged into what could easily be a modern $50-65 cab. Chewy, dark chocolate, new French oak that now has me saying, 'man, this is a steal at $20!' Quite frankly, felt embarrassed I have bottles 3x the price point with similar profiles from Napa. End result, went out and bought myself a case.

I'm starting to believe the prime drinking window of all KBs is around 3 -5 yearr. This one seemed a bit out of sync... Last bottle at that.

Enjoyed over the span of 2 nights. After overnight in decanter, night 2 showing was substantially better as day 1 was pretty much closed for business. Dark chocolate profile with a hint of mint come to mind. This thing is a beast. Hold.

Nothing special. Not sure if the stemware, or lack of, influenced it's showing.

Still tight despite a 2-hour decant. Plenty of stuffing here. Too bad i opened way too early. Will sit on remaining bottles. Should be promising...

From memory, still a brute of a wine, but I'd say no reason to sit on this one as I'm not sure it'll get any better. I would have enjoyed this style 10 years ago, but for my tastes now, a bit over-powering, esp for dinner.

From what I can recall almost a month ago, this didn't show much. However, palate could have been tired after 10+bottles. Looking back, I should have waited.

Drank over a span of 7+days. Stored in fridge. Bright fruit with a moderate weight mid-palate. Not flabby as with past experiences of previous vintages. Good value.

Likely a tired palate as there were 12 bottles open afterall. But not as good as I remember the TN blends of the past.

Only had a small taste of this bottling having shared it with everyone, including T! Recall big, bold dark choco that had surprisingly smooth tannins right out of the bottle. Everyone seemed to enjoy it very much!

Drank over a span of 2 nights. Bright fruit with steelish-like acid. However, it was missing that typical mixture of mid-weight/ femine combo quality I've come to expect from AHF. Not bad, but lacked something. Then again, this was my first experience with Demuth, of any vintage.

Yummy after-dinner drink. Consumed over a span of 2 nights. Quite subdued, drinking almost Spatlese-like than an Auslese - in a good way; and what you've come to expect with time. Interesting to see how this develops. I must say - I like!

Not what you'd remember as your typical KB SC. However, I tend to appreciate the nuances with the bottle age. There's almost a pruny/dark fig component here which I enjoy. Can't wait to try my last bottle this time next year...
