Decanted 3 hours before serving into open pitcher. Rebottled 15 minutes before dinner. First comment by drinkers was 'wow'. The wine was beautiful in length and body. Lots of life still in this wine.

Upon opening it was tannic and extremely tight. I decanted into an open pitcher and let it rest for 4 hours before serving. Just before dinner, I recanted back into bottle and served it 30 minutes later. Transformation was complete - beautifully balanced and deliciously long finish. As we finished the bottle the wine was just beginning to lose some of its body. Lot of longevity left in this wine.

Decanted for 3 hours. Opened up with lovely finish, spice, peppers, earthy, but still light on the palate was a crowd pleaser.
The wine looks garnet colored. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black pepper. The body is medium. The wine has narrow texture. The wine finishes medium.

Decanted for about 3 hours. Tight upon opening, but then opened up - similar to a pinot (but not enough fruit to be a new world one, nor enough tannins to be old world). Very light with nice mid-range on the palate, not a show piece but enjoyable for what it is = a good table wine.

Drink up! Showing age in the glass. Soft, transparent ruby color. Some bass notes on the palate but shallow compared to what it had been. Still enjoyable but lacking the firepower. Softer, rounder wine now.

Magnum. Decanted in open pitcher for 90 minutes and rebottled. The wine was inky colored with very little sediment in the bottle. It opened up and became approachable with a roundness of blackberry, blueberry, black currant (cassis), light toast and a little bark. The body was medium/full with a thick texture and medium finish. A real crowd pleaser. It has years ahead of it.

Magnum. Opened it and tasted, extremely tight and bitter. Color was antique transparent at the edges. Left in glass for an hour with no change. Then double decanted and left cork off bottle for an hour. Went to dinner and the wine had transformed into deep rich color, full bodied, long finish, displayed fruit forwardness of Cali Pinot, but had depth to it as well. Drank beautifully. Don't give up on it if it first displays poorly from the bottle!

Very surprised by how much youth was left in the bottle. Opened it and had it breathe in the glass for twenty minutes. While not complex, it had great balance and finish and terrific showcase of its age. Probably 3-5 years left on the wine.

Needed 30 minutes in the glass to open up. Still young. Needs another 6-12 months to age some. Once open in the glass was full bodied, with citrus, bright mineralogy and lovely long finish. Enjoyable

Still drinking beautifully. Opened, did not decant, and poured,
The wine looks ruby colored. Few legs at this stage with some moderate sediment in the bottle. Lovely aroma of slight must, oak and walnut with a medium/full body. The wine has lovely satin-like texture with low acidity and a medium finish.

The wine looks inky colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. Given it was magnum, there is still a good year or two left on the wine.

Thin on the palate with some fruit forwardness to it. Not to the cough medicine level of new world pinot but for a burgundy. Decent table wine and drinkable but not memorable. Hopefully, still you - give it another 6-12 months and try.

Still young and tannins. It never really opened up to its full potential. Still needs more years in the bottle to soften and share its complexity.

Have recently consumed several of these bottles and they were beyond their age and very thin. This bottle, however, was just after its apex and while showing age still had some fruits of its youth with a nice medium long finish. Very enjoyable and drinking well.
