Not as strong as the last showing but a really pretty, mature Pommard. Went great with duck in a cherry reduction. Opened a bit funky and thin, settled down with an hour of air and definitely needs to be closer to cellar temp. Well made wine that is still holding on.

Just a phenomenal wine from start to finish. Fresh, young, reductive. Nose of corn oil and Fritos. Some of that on the palate with lemon curd and precise acid. There is very little in the wine world that is better than PYCM in St. Aubin in my opinion.

A bit hot and disjointed. Pleasant florals and honey. Decent acid. Definitely not shy with food. I didn't dislike this wine but would not run out to buy another bottle. A little heavy on the oak.

This wine doesn't disappoint. Continues to be fresh and lively with good acid and a clean finish. Great sub for Burgundy as it has more going on than your typical Muscadet and drinks more like a Chard.

Great BdN bubbles. Medium fizz, not overtly pinot noir but very balanced and more polished than I'd expect.

Nice acid, not overly extracted or oaky. This was better than the past few experiences I've had with Sonoma chard which were beginning to make me question why I've bought any or how I could like it. This is very solid chardonnay with a touch of opulence. Better than feared.

Consistent with last note albeit perhaps a bit of fade since the prior bottle. I'd drink up if I had more. I had a '21 William Selyem right after that made this seem a bit tired in retrospect (not fair given age profiles but definitely gave some perspective).

Big, dark, brooding. This is well made Napa cab. It is notably devoid of the clawing sweet garbage that turns me off to so many of these wines. It is not subtle but with grilled ribeye, this wine does its job well. Not really what I buy anymore these days - I'd rather drink Bordeaux - but this is well made cab.

Bought in 2012 at the winery. This was a pretty wine. The Malbec and Cab Sauvignon blend beautifully and cut some of the green you get on pure Malbecs. This is made in a more robust style but it isn’t sweet or clawing like so many new world reds. A well made wine that has more life to it. No fade over an hour and a half dinner. It’s not 100% my style of wine but it is a great example of what it is.

Even worse than the last bottle. 1 left. This wine really stinks.

Cold, this was a bit flabby and overly sweet. As it warmed, and with more air, the acid came more into focus but it still felt overly sweet for a 20+ year old Spatlese. I liked it but was a bit underwhelmed.

Beautifully balanced and mature chenin. Paired perfectly with a multi-course sushi omakase. Deep golden color with a full mouth feel and medium viscosity. I really enjoyed this wine.

I think this was an imperfect bottle that may have seen some heat damage at some point. That said, it was super pleasant mature claret that got better as it was open over the course of a couple hours.

A bit thin and dusty - I can't tell if this is young and needs time, over the hill, or just is what it is. It's not bad but not particularly exciting either.

This continues to be crushable, extremely fresh and mildly reductive white burg. Would think it is village Meursault if I didn't know better. I was mildly worried about how this would age given the style - no worries needed. It will continue to get better.

Thin on open with a great nose but acidic palate. This needed air and time - after 45 mins in the glass it got better and better until it was gone. Very pretty Chambolle with red fruit and florals. Give this time, it was not over the hill, if anything it needed a vigorous decant.

Perfectly aged Jura wine. Super funky nose, nutty with a pleasant sherry like aroma which would make you think this was an oxidized wine - it is not on the palate which is pure beautiful Chardonnay - honey and butter and rich without being flabby - there is still acid here. This is Jura done right.

In the zone. Dark fruit, tannins resolved but not flabby. This didn't feel tired, it felt like a really pretty wine drinking where it should. Pop those corks!

At 10 years I'd have thought this would be at prime drinking - it was soft and flabby with a lot of fruit and no structure. Not my thing at all.

I'm a sucker for Riesling but this wasn't quite what I expected. Richer and rounder than I was looking for. I like my Lauer acidic and angular. This was like a beginner's Riesling - nice but no ooompf...

I liked this although it felt a little disjointed - definitely some funk and maybe a little VA on this bottle. Settled down with air and time in the glass but its far from refined. Blind, this might have edged towards Rhone.

Solid mature right bank BDX. A bit dried out on the mid-palate. This was a quarter turn past peak out of 375 but still enjoyable.

Big cab forward with grippy tannins and dark fruit. Nice structure, not sweet - savory with black pepper and leather. This is a well made BDX blend which drinks more like Paulliac than Napa. My big quandary with these wines is they don’t have a sense of place. Does that matter? I don’t know. But it’s like driving a Lexus. Yeah it’s well made but does it have soul?

Solid drinker and likely to be a crowd pleaser but nothing to write home about. Good 2017 acid present and a little on the richer side of Meursault styling than I like. In a hot year this would have been a mess.

This was a really nice sparkler that competes well with entry level offerings from big house Champagne producers for similar $$$. It is dry and bright and would serve as a great aperitif. I don't think this is going to WOW anyone but it also isn't priced that way. Certainly better than a bottle of yellow-label Veuve (not a high bar!).

Good, but side by side with the 2018 Sonoma bottling I felt this was a little on the tired side. Nice depth but a bit too big and deep without enough acid to hold it together.

Superb mature bdx drinking at peak. This isn't falling off and got about 30-40 mins of air before we drank it with a steak dinner. Beautiful, well-made and structured right bank Bordeaux. I should have bought a case of this given the price!

This was showing really well. Lot's of mint on the nose and on the palate. Light but powerful. Beautiful color in the glass. Stood up to some stiff BDX competition and was a real upside surprise as I don't have much experience with the 1980 vintage in Napa.

Great stuff. Opened funky and a little disjointed. Came together with 30 minutes of air. Sweet and salty, at one point it had an almost Swedish Fish quality. Really fun wine.

Nice, mature Burgundy. Did not feel Grand Cru in performance to me but this had some of the cherry notes you'd want from a Griotte and some red berries too. Got better with some air and the last sips were likely the best but I wouldn't wait too much on this one - I don't think it is getting better.

Very solid but super stylized. Be sure you like reductive Chardonnay if you’re buying this bottle. Matchstick, smoke, lemon curd and acid. I’m a fan but it’s not for everyone.

Solid Bourgogne Blanc but nothing crazy special here for the money. The Macon bottlings from Leflaive offer better value. At $40-50/btl I’d be all over this. At $100 I’m a pass.

Dark fruit and bramble consistent with other notes below. This wine is ready to drink but shouldn't go anywhere in the next year or two. I brought it to a restaurant and the waiter murdered the cork coming out and had to filter into a decanter. Not sure if others have had trouble with the cork and can't speak for whether a durand or other tool would have made the job easier but something to be aware of...could also be this guy was lousy with a corkscrew!

Fresh and fruity with notes of strawberry. While there is solid acidity, I also found this wine sweeter than I would have expected and would be curious what the dosage level was here. This paired nicely with tuna tartare but I'm not rushing to get more given the sweet note which I didn't love.

This had either begun to decline or had not gotten enough air and I don’t know which. Opened at a restaurant about 30 minutes before drinking. The last sips were the best. Prior to the end it was a bit thin and one dimensional despite having a great nose. I’m inclined to say it needed time although I wouldn’t stick my neck out on this one.

Excellent champagne. Balanced and fresh but with depth and substance. This opened a bit thin and quickly evolved with some air into a wonderful blanc de blanc with yeasty and toasty notes but retained its citrusy freshness. Great tension in the wine.
