This is my first bottle for 4 years, and it is now at the top of its game, and I will probably look to consume my remaining bottles over the last 3 years. I am always fearful of premox with Louis Jadot whites. This is a stellar wine, and can match any brand Burgundy. Packed with citrus and lemon peel, with honeysuckle and hints of vanilla, the balance is impeccable. Likewise the finish is excellent with gravel and seashore lingering on the palate with perfect precision.

Another wonderful showing, possibly even better than the last bottle. None of the matchstick/reduction to start. Got slightly better and better over hours. Held up next to some heavy hitting first growths. Lovely. Perfect pairing with scallop risotto.

Joel’s bottle. What a wonderful reminder of how great a 13 year old bottle of Grand Cru Jadot can be when it is totally free of oxidation. Glorious fragrance of lemon peel, oatmeal and subdued vanilla. Rich, concentrated and luscious framed by the perfect amount of acidity. Held up well in the glass. So sad that so many other white Burgundies, especially Jadot, never achieve this level.

Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (EBCC): Just popped this open and sampled ahead of our tasting later this evening (begins in 90 minutes), wanting to ensure it is a sound bottle and holy cow, this is gorgeous. Pale, youthful straw yellow color dripping with lemon oil, mineral, honeysuckle and jasmine notes. Full-bodied, with lemon, almond, sage, quince and wet stone flavors. Can’t wait to pour another glass after ninety minutes of air…
Served double blind to the group. Has not changed too much since it was first opened but has added a flinty/smoky element that reminds me a bit of the smell of the spent roll from the cap gun I had in my youth. Wonderful underlying acidity with citrus, mineral and floral qualities. This is why wine lovers chase Burgundy- when it's "on" it's fantastic.

One of the best white Burgs I've had in a long time. This held it's own next to the 2008 Bouchard Chevalier. Beat out a Batard and 4-5 other Corton Charlies next to it. Tight and reductive at first with bursting acidity and fruit. It will probably improve with a few years but it is ready to roll now for anyone who likes early drinking window. Stayed good for hours until it was gone, subtly coming around with air. Great pair with lamb made in greek style with lemon.

From magnum. Backwards compared with the other notes. Underripe peach (meant in the nicest way possible) with steely acids and some toast. Was of high quality but I wouldn't touch again in this format for five more years. left some in the bottom of the bottle and was still showing well the next day. A very, very, very impressive showing.

At our "wine geeks with partners" dinner at Lalime's in Berkeley. Light gold in color. Melon and white peach fragrance. On the palate cantaloupe, a bit of butter and a touch of grapefruit. Well balanced, there is a purity about this wine. Nice finish, went well with my seared scallops.

This was a little tight last time of drinking15 months ago, but it now really opened up and is ready to consume. The nose is is clean and steely with a citrus background. The palate is all about melon and peach, and is wonderfully buttery and complex with excellent depth and a lengthy finish. Everything from start to finish is in perfect balance and it is now a special wine. It is important to decant for a couple of hours.

Superb. Opened 2 hours ahead with 30 minute decant. Drank at cellar temp. Very pure fruit. Great structure and length. Some citrus notes with flowers and a hint of fine vanilla oak. Steadily improved over 90 minutes of drinking. Excellent now but built for the long haul. Beautifully balanced. 94-96

I concur with J S Morris review. This seems to have closed down, and while a wonderful drink, it has temporarily lost its edge. Given another year, and I'm sure that this will be knocking at the door. Previously I had been rating this in the mid nineties plus.

Nary a trace of oxidation in this youthful Corton Charlemagne. I would rate it even higher if the oak did not become intrusive after a hour in the glass. Initially, beautiful fragrance of soft yellow fruit, lemon, spice and vanilla. Excellent acidity. Full body, lots of Chardonnay flavor. If the oak settles down this could become stunning.

Starting to drink well, the nose has light aromas of melon and citrus fruits. The palate is classically clean with lemon dominating. This has really moved forward in the last year and is rapidly becoming a first rate Burgundy.

Showing well in a clear and understated manner. All elements very well integrated, with mellow citrus, vibrant freshness and some power in reserve. My only bottle, though wish I had another. Paired well with whole fish (sole) and veggies.

Same btl as R&Rler. This is coming along nicely since I last tasted it in 2014. Still some vanilla but the oak if far more integrated now and the wine is coming into balance. Rich, larger scaled, with intriguing hint or orange zest, stone fruit and minerality. Very much enjoyed this! I could see this really singing with a couple more years still under its belt.

Eight Killer Starter Whites & a Token Red (Oceanaire, Mpls, MN): Light-medium gold color. Drank 1 glass over an hour. Quite the contrast after 3 kick ass Chablis, but still despite the relative youth this was showing well. Lemon and white melon on the nose with cream brulee, and a touch of sweet cream butter followed by the toasted oak. The oak was still there, but I felt, folding in nicely at this point. The palate certainly has power and concentration, consistent fruits from the nose, and a rich creamy texture that is coating and silky while feeling weighty at all. Another long finish too. I don't think you have to wait on these, a bit of glass time and this is pretty sweet. 93+ to 94pts.
