Thought this would be too old….boy was I wrong. Light straw color, doesn’t look its age. Tropical fruit on the palate with lengthy finish. Very fresh and satisfying. Perfectly balanced and fine structure suggests it has years ahead of it. So glad I opened it for July 4th celebration.

Tyrrell's Vat 1 Vertical: At a peak. Medium lemon colour. Wonderful balance - toasty, white fruits and cantaloupe, medium bodied with soft acidity woven through the wine like filigree. All elements are in harmony. Excellent, and one of the wines of the Vat 1 vertical. Screwcap.

rockmelon, mango, green pear, honey, nectar back end all business, structure, length, wonderful balance…. Excellent mid age hunter Sem, ready now, but should reward more cellar time

{screwcap, 12%} Mid yellow. Developing hunter semillon; straw, dry honey, woolly richness. Less about pretend-oak and more about rich waxy fruit. Still with medium acidity, a mass of freshness, light/medium weight, medium/long finish. Just singing perfectly. Drink now or keep another decade easily.

Medium lemon in the glass. Showing a moderate intensity of aromas - chamomile, green apple, pear, melon, pineapple and lychee. Some MLF and lees contact. Tightly knit on the palate with great intensity of flavors that are further highlighted by the crisp, refreshing acid. Medium (+) length. Approachable now, but will definitely develop further with this structure.
