  • No notes. I am not typically a Chablis boy band fan but the few that stood out have been fantastic. The 2010 from the other grand cru site was too linear and mineral and without the fruit or benefit of some mature notes, it was simply too acidic.

This wine however, maybe vineyard site or just that ‘18 is a warm vintage, was delicious and for me best out the 2914 1er Meursault drank alongside. Beautiful fruit, mineral and mouthfeel- not overly complex just simply delicious.

  • As others have noted this needed a lot of air to show much. Opened an hour before first glass and it was still fairly uninspiring and felt like it was missing a lot. 2 hours later it started changing gears. Nose was still subtle but not atypical for Preuses. Elegant and floral. The palate intensity really ramped up and the minerality and salinity was impressive. Never would have guessed this as an 18 blind. Should be killer in 5-10.

  • Tremendous tension and minerality, probably needs at least 2-3 years.

  • Iodine, shells, refined plush-ish yellow fruit. Nose is powerful and distinctive. Palate quite big with minerality and acid to match. Coiled but very long, fruit remains round with lots of tension and almost a grassy element. Could be great in time. With 5 hours this blows up on the palate. Couldn't give it tonight but feel Dauvs always benefit a long decant.

  • This is nowhere near ready. Bottle 2 of the wines opened after a month long sabbatical from wine and it was a huge miss.

Tremendous power and extract overwhelm the palate. There is nothing vinous to be had. Hold all day. Plenty of acid, but the severity of the structure makes this impossible grade until it unfurls.

Day 2. After a day in the fridge its starting to shed a little. Still would not open one for 5 years. Hoping for better day 3
