Even 6 hours in the decanter didn’t do it. It’s just young and need further cellaring. Lots of promise though. Muted and hidden fruit, cassis, cedar, chocolate, leather...all the classics. Tannins are plentiful.

Confirms previous adulatory notes. Now comfortably on its plateau of maturity, with time in hand. Nose is open for business, perfectly classical Graves profile (cassis, cedar, tobacco, warm brickes); elegant and structured but charming and silky palate, energetic and with perfect weight, sandy tannins; very good resonance and length on the finish. Stylish claret, right up my street.

Not ready. I've had some luck with 2005s and I'd hoped 3 hours in a decanter would be enough to get the wine to open up. The wine is open enough to not punish you but not so open to give a lot of pleasure. 5 more years, I'd think.
