Well made wine but coming along very slowly and the richness is very apparent and not totally classic burgundy. That said, I'll try again in 5 years and see what I find. Was trumped by the 06 in the next glass.

A "top 1er-cru, 2012-or-older" theme'd dinner. Decanted for ~4hrs by the time this was served (blinded, & randomly arranged in a last flight of 3 wines). Coincidentally, we discovered that the last 3 wines were all CSJs when unveiled eventually! A very perfumed nose of spice, sandalwood/smoke, roses, dark-red berries and that bit of "wildness" (almost Mazis-like gameness). Along with the last wine of this last flight (which was also an '09 - a Dominique Laurent negociant CSJ) , most guessed it to be Vosne (presumably due to the spice) although the young friend to my left immediately ventured a Fourrier guess... Still fresh on the palate, it had good depth & fruit-concentration (sweet fruits) held up by a nice structure, leading most to guess it a 2010... A very nice drop indeed!

Lots of tart red fruit, very small amount of secondary flavor. Medium body, medium finish. Solid wine but not near the class of Rousseau. I have a couple more and hope that this improves.
Had this 2 years ago and that bottle was full of barnyard and was very ripe. This bottle is a clean bottle with a very floral nose. Flavor profile is consisted of sweet but fresh red and black fruit, good sap, very silky tannins and with good acidity. This wine is elegant and classy. For a 2009, this is drinking remarkably well but this will continue to improve with more age.

Floral nose. Medium red fruit on palate. Good finish. Tannins mostly resolved. In its drinking window now.
