The bricking and soft tannins suggested the wine is mature, so one must wonder if this oak ever comes into balance or if the ship has sailed so to speak. In any case, a good if not great Vosne Romanee.

  Birthday Wine Dinner: Explosive nose that really jumped out of the glass. Lots of spice here, as well as raspberry and chocolate. Very young at present and needs some time for everything to harmonize and settle down a bit. That said, I still enjoyed it quite a bit.
