Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 90 points

  • one bottle flawed. i don't think cork but was thin and had a bitter streak running through it. the other bottle was just somewhat unresolved, still plummy and new fruit like, it lacked the fine ness of what i expect in a goof VR

  • Nose - plum, exotic spice, soy sauce, oak
Mouth - dark fruits on the attack and overall a relatively full body for the varietal. Hints of soy sauce on the very savory finish. Still with significant tannins suggesting this can be held for several more years. An interesting and bold wine but I had hoped for more given the vintage, vineyard, and pedigree.
