  • Soft and very pretty with red fruit predominate. Better than 3 years ago and what I am looking for in a mature V-R with the asian spice box in the back of the palate. I think it can improve some since the last pour was the best, but I couldn't resist finishing the bottle tonight.

  • At first this seemed muted and fitting the the earlier reviews. It took quite a bit of air and into a second night to really start showing asian spice, briar, and red raspberry elements. The tannins are still firm in the finish and somewhat integrated, but still need time to soften. I will wait several years to come back to this one again, but I think it has more potential than others gave it credit for. Unless decanting or following for a couple of days as I did, I'd hold yours for now.

  • Pop and pour, and drank for few days. This wine, for three days just stayed grumpy and boring. This Reignots maintained a woody edge, was dark fruited, and firm. I could tell it was from Vosne... by reading the label. Is this a rare example of a sleeping 2006? I will definitely let the last two bottles set a spell.

  • This disappointed me at first since the 2004 was a knockout right from the starting gate on release. This vintage is lighter in both weight and fruit complexion, yet it also starts out with a kind of sweetness to the fruit reminiscent of watermelon sucking candy. As the woodspice and other secondary characteristics become more assertive the fruit deepens and mellows into something more vinous and begins to show a dusting of the spice mix that makes the crus from this spot so enticing -- but not nearly so intensely or clearly as in the 2004, nor does this seem built with the 2004's underlying muscle. The soft, hazy impression here has something of a 2000 vintage personality but with a little extra something. Not enough extra something to justify the current C-note price-tag, though, especially since the '04 ran $45.
