Opened and decanted for a hour, wasn’t expecting a lot given some recent reviews, but was pleasantly surprised by the immediate and striking nose. Very clear notes of mulberries and black fruit - quite lovely - up there with other top growths. A slight acidic tang, and although the tannins are elegant and well integrated, it lacks the depth expected at this level. Nonetheless very happy to drink this wine.

A bit monolithic and not very giving over a couple of hour dinner. A bit of a let down but will try giving the next bottle a bit more air before service.

The other vintage at Lord's 2019 in bottle tasting. 55% merlot compared to 42% in the 2019. Soft and medium weight. Starting to drink now. Not worth the money, much as I love Palmer.

Still a bit closed? Even after 4 hours. Still needs time in the cellar...? 2026?

Salon Focofi Paris walkabout and dinner, so no detailed tasting notes. The light and harmless 2011 showing. Decent.
