Nose: plenty of dark, yet constrained fruit with lots of gorgeous minerals and a slightly animalistic scent. Palate: almost fullbodied, silky with cherries, black currant and a long tannic end. Rich, fruity and structured. A lovely wine!

Dark cherry color, no rim. On nose much more interesting and expressive than 08 and 09, offering blueberries, licorice and a candy/sweet aroma. Very expressive. On palate it is medium bodied along with an initial remarkable dryness with medium/soft tannins that softens with time. Lighter than the previous vintages, it appears to be more fresh and likeable to drink at this stage while maintains its rusticity and roots. Certainly this is not my type of wine however I liked this one as opposite to 2008 and 2009. These wines require patience or a long decant (90-91).

Some coconut aromas that disappeared after a while. Fruity and quite juicy in the mouth. Structured and well balanced.
