Pulled from the cellar and decanted for 1hr. The aromatics leap from the glass. Orange, leather, dusty cherry with hints of sage and acidic overtones. The flavors match the aromatics. This wine will live!!!! Multi-hour decantation will allow this wine to awaken from its slumber. Love the age-ability of this particular wine and this vintage. Didn’t even decant this time around. Even cold from the cellar this wine begins to exhibit its core fruit nose of strawberry. Once brought up to room temperature the animal background is revealed. Flavors of tobacco, cherry, tar reveal themselves which may reveal something about how this wine is made, but I am still amazed at how much flavor is in the bottle with so much age for its original retail price of $7/bottle. I hope they are produced the same way and they all age this gracefully! EG #WineArchitect #ArchitecturalArtistry

Decanted for thirty minutes. Medium ruby color with no thinning on its edges. Aromatics of old world and quite Baroloesque. This bottle has aged very well and this is a fun example. EG #ArchitecturalArtistry #WineArchitect

Pale red-garnet. Floral nose, of roses with roof tar, baked cherry, dust. Light and a bit angular in the mouth on entry; tannin fully resolved. Light and earthy cherry fruit flavor, with mints and mushroom. Complemented margarita pizzas and chickpea/lemon/cucumber salad. Old price tag - $6.99, which makes me surprised this wine hung on so well for this long.

Decanted for two hours. Strawberries, cherries, smoked meat, bay leaves, mushrooms. Medium + tannins. Fantastic bottle right now!
