Very much on the rose and tar side of things now, this has developed nicely. It needs to be open and given some air for a few hours for its relaxed cherry fruit to become evident on the palate. And of course the tannins are a little grainy at the back end. But a charming bottle here.

Getting better with age, tough to drink a few years ago but tonight's bottle was strong with good dried fruit and balance. Still a food wine which I didn't take into account, but might be the best age-worthy value wine ever.

Another good showing. Sour cherry pie on the nose with some tarry complexity. Bright and fresh on the palate with a good amount of fruit left to give it some body. Pretty resolved at this point and drinking well, though I'm sure it will continue to shift towards more secondary characteristics with additional age.

Pulled out for red wine sauce, but drank the remaining third of the bottle. Still drinkable, kind of light but OK. Sauce was excellent too.

Light, nice flavor, good balance, kind of beaujolais-like. Drank at dinner with pork tender and then finished bottle a couple hours later. Good value.
