  This bottle provides proof positive that fruit is over-rated. There's very little left here, as if it were reduced away without leaving anything out of balance, and the wine is not at all over the hill. The aromatics alone are worth the price of entry -- red fruits, earth, an iron minerality, and a hint of tar. Palate follows the nose with nice intensity.
