Nose of cardboard and wet dog over vague notes of red fruit. Palate is struggling: it still shows good acidity and some hints of oak and red fruit, but overall it seems faded and dead and I'm sure it's got a touch of TCA. The rest of the table said they liked it.

Brickish red color. Red cherries with pit, old shoe leather, mushrooms and twigs on the nose. The palate parallels the rustic nose with fading tart red cherry liquer, heavy dose of leather, wet earth and a slightly bitter back palate.

Slight brick red in color. Morello cherry, old leather, mushrooms and wet leaves on the nose. Rustic, old world palate with sour cherries, soil, mushrooms all wrapped around bitter and dusty tannins. Stored overnight in the refrigerator. The wine has become more burgundian, sweet red cherries, spices, balsam with an enticing tart and salty saliva inducing finish. Definitely less rustic on the second night.

Consistent with previous notes but beginning to turn downhill. Fruit was fading for sure but it was still quite enjoyable.
Drink up!
