  • Agree with JWG, except tannins are mostly absorbed. Nice, delicate nebbiolo. Medium finish on palate with dark red fruits and sour cherry notes. Should last to 2016, maybe more.

  • Brick red with lightening edges. Aromas of red plums and sandalwood. Medium bodied, slightly sour cherry on palate, sllghtly liquoreaux, but not heavy. Best when first opened, getting a little bitter with air. Best with a tuscan steak, not red sauce.

  • Unbelievable tar and mushrooms on the nose. More than I can ever remember in any other piemontese wine. Texture is light and not chewy -- a very delicate nebbiolo. Some hints of asphalt and dark cherry and sour cherry, and modest tannins tailing off to a pretty long end. Overall a very pleasurable spanna.

  • Mushroom, earth and road tar notes on the nose -- quite lovely. Palate is bright fruit-- remarkably light given the age on this bottle. Some sour cherry and dark cherry flavors and asphalt in the middle of the palate, along with very modest tannins at end. Nicely balanced overall.
