fragrant of apples, fennel and oak. Fruit is fresh. Not quite integrated with the substantial and only slightly bitteroak frame. Nonetheless I am really enjoying this.

Agree with the other notes but wanted to emphasize how well the wine holds up after being opened and, frankly, gains a bit over a couple days in terms of favor and complexity. Drank over a week and it did very well. Nice one.

Medium-light golden yellow in color. Forward, attractive and complex nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples, pears & citrus notes of lemons/limes with floral notes of honeysuckle & jasmine, stony, flinty, some honey/butterscotch notes, spices, minerals with a bit of vanilla & toasty oak in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of smooth texture, balanced, complex, ripe flavors of apples, pears & lemons/limes with some butterscotch, honey, spices, stony, minerals, toasty oak and a slight touch of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present and has the fruit & structure to continue with its development for a few more additional years.

Glad I have four more bottles. This wine is outstanding, glowing yellow gold color with citrus, pear and floral notes on the nose. Really lovely mouthfeel, virtually no noticeable oak, bright acidity, lemon, lime, pineapple, apple, pear--it's all there. Luscious finish. Why do I keep paying up for the Kistlers and Auberts, which are more weighty but certainly not more enjoyable? QPR of this wine and winery are fantastic.
