Improved from last tasting 15 months ago. Rich milk chocolate, red cherries, brambly blackberries, and loads of blueberry blackcurrant, this is still settling into its own skin. Still a little hot and extracted on the finish. Drink 2021-2026. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 90.

Super-extracted with high oak treatment, this was heavy and got tiring near the end of the bottle. Paired nicely with beef short ribs. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 89

Drank with the 2012, this wine had good body, initially fruit and soft tannins but no finish, the wine just dies, this was very apparent when comparing to the 2012, drank at Roy's in PHX,not sure of price, won't drink again.

The best wine at a tasting that included diverse Cabernet Sauvignons. The factors that made this wine distinctively better included being well structured by both acidity and tannin, greater concentration, a smooth texture, and delicious fruits of black currant, blackberry, and black cherry. Available for under $30, this wine was also the best buy. Finally, this was the only Cabernet served made exclusively from high altitude vineyards, here all from Sonoma Mountain, combining Estate grown grapes with purchased.
