decanted for an hour; blackberry, dark cherry, not too much fruit - which is good; soft leathery tannins; nice touch of oak; very good taste profile but relatively straightforward.

Took about 2+ hours to open up, so recommend decanting next time. Soft edges, fairly well-balanced, though minimal fruit delineation (at least thus far). Linear and straightforward, this brings a little heat on the finish that will hopefully integrate. Drink 2023-2028. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 91.

Nice concentration of red, dark red fruit. Structure is toward the softer side, which fits with my preconception of Sonoma Valley. Also tasted Grgich Cab Sauv Estate 2016, which was darker, sterner but no less generous. There is a licorice type bitterness to this wine, too. It’s a keeper.

solid CA cab; dark/full/succulent fruits, soft tannins+oaked, enough acid, decent finish. easy to enjoy with a burger and not worry about it.
