Second bottle within three weeks. First wasn’t stood up long enough. This one was and showed much better. While no formal notes were taken, it was drinking well, and I enjoyed the secondary flavors. Decanted and drank right away, which was sufficient. Cork half soaked and was in good shape. I chose to use a Durand, which worked well. For those that like mature wines, this was in a good spot and should have a bit longer.

Immer noch klasse. Natürlich tertiär aber trotzdem frisch mit präsenter Säure. Elegant, Taninne sind komplett abgebaut, am Ende rauchiger Speck und mittellang. Prima.

Brunello Blind Tasting (My Home): Very savory nose. At some times, I felt I was digging my nose in a bloody mary with all this celery salt, worchestire sauce. Different on the palate with sweet fruits. Bacon on the finish. Still very much alive!

EWS: A Study of Sangiovese with Ian D'Agata: Nutty aroma, youthful and kicking. Tight and structured, showing mostly nutty, caramel, cedar notes.
