Bay Area Les Amis de Bourgogne Holiday Dinner (Aziza, San Francisco): Ahhh, thank you Richard with the old Burgs perfectly stored! Now one must like some age here, but if you do—talk about exotic, just like its paired partner the Marion ’72 this evening. This wine leaned more towards the dried fruit and spice with dried rose, clove, sandalwood and cinnamon stick. A blood orange note on the nose, and a smoked meats like Choucroute there too. Fascinating aged Burg.
