Leather, red fruit, mushrooms, earthy, underwood, and some sweeter fruit notes on the nose. Well balanced with fully integrated tannins, red fruit, and good acidity on the palate. Quite long finish. This felt fully mature, but will still drink well for years to come. Great wine!

In perfect condition. Cloudy opaque red/brown. Served blind, others identified aromas of tomato sauce and ratatouille, which was somewhat spooky given the wine’s Provençal provenance. For my part I thought it showed more cassis, pine, leather. It was undoubtedly very developed but still had a core of soft leathery fruit. Not worth what I paid for it but a fine glass of wine by any standard.

Have never had this wine but what a delight it was to have sampled. Decanted over two hours. Some in the group thought it was a northern Rhone (me for one) and others a Bordeaux. So while we were all close no one came close to the vintage! Delicious!

Beautiful nose, deep ruby color soft tannins and still has fruit. Delicious the first and second night.
