Still quite young color, only hints of amber at the rim. Bordeaux-like nose dominated by blackcurrant, but also with tones of cherries. On top there is spicy tones of black pepper, and fine notes of wood and warm earth. Full bodied attack, quite dry tannins on the mid palate, making the wine dry and a bit "hostile". The dryness mellows somewhat on the finish, a finish that is very fresh and almost citrusy (!). Cherry and black pepper tones emerge on the fresh aftertaste. Good length. This is a bit unbalanced, with somewhat too high acidity relative to the fruit. Still, it is a wonderful wine with hearty food. We had it with grilled lambchops, and it was delicious.

Pronounced nose intensity with notes of vanilla, black fruits, spics, black currant. Still youthful. Full bodied and medium+ finish. Medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin. Tannin is not harsh. Did not decant. Will improve with ageing.

Red fruit and herbal elements to the nose. Delightful but I would not have spotted the varieties in the mix. Some power but not at all heavy. Long. Fine. Will keep.

Lighter and more on the red berry (raspberry) side than other vintages that I recall drinking. Tight out of the bottle. I suspect another 5-10 years would present its best.
