I was afraid that, beyond the fact that it's special to drink Biondi Santi brunello from your birthyear, there would not be much else to enjoy. I was wrong! Although obviously old and mainly tertiairy flavors, the wine (especially the nose and finish!) was still great and thoroughly enjoyed among friends.

2016 Villa d’Este Wine Symposium - Kelly, Alan and Kevin's excellent adventure; 11/3/2016-11/12/2016 (Villa D’este, Lake Como, Piedmont, Milan and Frankfurt): Fragile nose, mostly faded fruit, a hint of dry cherry, smoke, leather and scorched earth. Fully resolved a bit fragile palate, mostly tertiary palate impression, noticeable acidity and a medium, slightly acidic finish. Needs to be drunk up.
