Popped and poured. This has a pretty nose of red fruit and spice. The palate is gorgeous showing elegant restrained fruit. Black and red fruits, tobacco, and spices with silky tannins. This is aging very gracefully and while I don’t think it’s a long liver I think it may improve a bit more.

This bottle is delicious and at a good spot in terms of evolution. With minimal decanting, the nose unfurls with beautiful red fruits and flowers. The body is delicious with red ripe layered fruit, garrique, spices. This has good balance and the beginnings of some interesting complexity. It also really delicious right now.

At first a bit shy, this opened up after about thirty minutes into a lovely cool climate Shiraz. Nice subtle nose and flavors of raspberry, cedar and spice. Silky, nicely balanced mid palate and moderate finish. This feels understated compared to many aussy shiraz’s But in a good way. It does not show many signs of age so should be able to soldier on although it is not clear it will get much better or complex.

Slight hints of browning. Packed with baked fig and tasting almost like some Dalmatian Plavac mali wines: very ripe and sweet. The youthful tannins now resolving but what is underneath is just too sweet and jammy for my taste now, needing higher acidity and some bitterness in there and even lacking enough laser-intensity: all very tasty but just lazy. Simpler than I thought it would turn out. Not a great showing here, beyond simple deliciousness. 90-ish, but would not purchase.
