  • Clear, medium intensity, ruby color.

The wine starts off a bit modest showing mostly blackberry, dark cherry and violets. With time in the glass it adds more weight to the fruit and smoky notes of barbecue sauce and charred meat. The oak gets more prominent with coconut, vanilla and Christmas spice.

Generously fruity on the palate with smooth structure and a tad low acidity. There's great concentration to the fruit and even though it's rather generously styled it never gets jammy or cloying. There's a lot of smoky, savory flavors that adds more layers to the palate. The finish lingers for a good while.

Very tasty and rewarding wine. Easy-drinking but not without depth or complexity. Ready to drink now.

  • Outstanding. No rush, but I dont think it can improve from here. Beautifully balanced wine. Lots of sediment+++. Decanted for 2 hours after letting the sediment settle.

  • 2007 Vintage Tasting (Bronte, Sydney): lightish red.
powerful fragrance, rich developed red fruit with lots of earth and leather notes, complex and interesting.
red fruits, earth and a little liquorice. soft and fleshy but the flavours are intense. a big rich wine, has nicely softened and developed complexity with age. finish is relatively soft, not much acid and tannins are quite light. drink now.

  • 07 YY Underhill Shiraz. Medium ruby. Well developing now with aromas of blackberry, bright red currant, plum sauce, gamey, animal nuance, black pepper, some forest floor. On palate, similar notes as nose with refreshing juicy red fruits, supple mouth feel. Well resolved tannins. Drink now.

  • Elegent and calming nose of cedar, blackberry and red fruit. Medium bodied and in perfect balance between juicy fruits and acidity. Fully integrated tannins and a medium, juicy, smooth finish.
