1/19/2024 - jzurel Likes this wine: 93 pointsAt 22 years, it is still a moderately powerful wine. Mostly tertiary notes, but some tannin, fresh acidity and a hint of red fruit. A classic Burgundy. This is why I enjoy Burgundy - not all age this well, but when they do, they are wonderful! This bottle was aged in the Domaine's cellars until it was shipped to Canada in 2023. |

1/4/2024 - depechemoroder Likes this wine: 91 pointsDelicious for a village wine and punches above its price point. Mature red fruits, ceps, and dried leaves, this definitely has elegance and is rather medium in stature - the fruit is definitely there. The minerality is just delicious, however, and is the star of the show in the way it integrates with the fruit and secondary characteristics. There was something strangely moreish about how it all came together. Defintiely more than the sum of its parts. |

12/8/2023 - Xavier Auerbach wrote: 92 pointsFifth bottle from a half case purchased at auction in 2009. Pristine condition. Not decanted, opened three hours in advance. Very similar to the previous bottle tasted in October 2022. It has lost quite a lot of fleshy weight, but not its iron minerally energy or precision. The flavour profile is lively, a lovely marriage of youthful and tertiary flavours, the acidity is steely, the tannins still provide grip, and the finish is light but not too tea-like and has good length. Completely ready, with some time in hand. |

2/25/2023 - Robert Pavlovich wrote: 95 pointsVery powdery tannins, attractively chiseled fruit and acid mix. Crunchy red fruit with a little more power than finesse. Cherry stone permeates on the finish in a real, driving way. Came off as a higher altitude Malconsorts, and very worthy of the terroir, as it was served alongside a 2013 Mugnier Bonne Mares and more than held its own. Glad I bought these. |

12/26/2022 - jnewman77 Likes this wine: NRFirst bottle of this producer and vineyard; it was excellent and exceeded by expectations; the nose was more elegant and red fruited than I expected, but had definite Vosne spice and floral notes; the palate was more elegant and refined than many '05s, but certainly wasn't short on intensity. Excellent. I will continue to look for this wine, though its hard to find. |

That jubey fruit quality is also here with a touch of wood glue wild ferment. Juicy, fleshy, fresh, softly tannic red berried fruit which has a slightly sour edge, pretty, nice |

10/15/2022 - Bob Fyke wrote: 93 pointsDecanted and poured; details evolved over two hours. The nose has excellent complexity with dark strawberry and raspberry notes with tobacco and white pepper as well. On the palate there is good balance with very fine grained tannins. Fresh red cherry skins and some charred sandalwood. There is a bit of weakness on the palate as it thins out just before the finish; this improved over time in the glass. Despite that, this did not disappoint. |

Mature but vibrant, cool and transparent style, undergrowth and spice, whiff of nuttiness, fresh and lively, elegant weight, papery tannins still provide grip, very good length, tea-like finish. Nothing spectacular, but a satisfying, well-aged Burgundy. Completely ready, but will go on. How lovely. |

From Zalto Burgundy. |

Banana sweets and acetone on the extremely bright, stemmy, high-toned nose, that verged on the confected but luckily settled down with air. Tasty on the palate, rather pretty, but primary and with a bitter finish. |

Floral lift with fraises de bois that comes through on the palate as a strawberry confiture. Vanilla topnotes. Strawberry and. Little lighter and brighter. Not quite the mid palate density currently, but so pretty. **** |
