Translucent ruby color; medium bodied. First glass through a Venturi. Red berries and sour cherries, with a hint of stems. Acidity stronger than the fruit, for sure. Finished quite long, but mostly front and mid-palate. If I had tasted blind, I’d have guessed minor Burgundy, not Oregon. Paired with cheese board, for which it wasn’t bad, but not too fun to sip on its own. Hope it’s a 2013 thing (cold year?) and not a feature of this vineyard, as I have three later vintages waiting to try.

Alas, the tannins have outlasted the fruit. What is to be done with the rest of the case?
